| 65 | 55 | 9.0 | 20,200 | 10/11 | NO | 115 | 45 | 3.5 | 20,200 |
* Top 4 should remain static. * 7 Years should enter Top-5 this week, thanks to substantial gains on all components. * MMI and PT are in a close fight for #6, while Sorry should drop below them. * It will be very close for the #10 spot, it seems. Though I would give a very slight advantage to ITAPII (like.... 51/49 odds :) ) How did you get those airplay numbers?

March 28, 198101 06 Rapture - Blondie (1st of 2 weeks at #1) The largest jump to #1 that entire decade. Looks like it fucked John Lennon out of another posthumous #1 in the process.

NO will surely make top 10 with the video release... so debuting at #11 isn't as bad with that in mind.
PBP held on slightly better than I thought it would. good for kelly.

Here is something to realize. Blake Shelton screwed himself out of a good debut spot

Can I just say no to NO? It's obnoxious. Meghan is definitely capable of better.

Hello's 18 weeks in top 10 is just not impressive at all. It may end up about #40-50 in decade-end, and be outperformed by The Hills, Sorry and Love Yourself eventually.

Can I just say no to NO? It's obnoxious. Meghan is definitely capable of better. I mean, you can. No one is telling you to listen to it when it comes on the radio. No one is telling you to download it. No one is telling you to stream it. You do whatever you want to do. That's the beauty of music taste. However, if it becomes a major hit or not isn't completely up to you, but your decision to avoid it does play a miniscule part. Hello's 18 weeks in top 10 is just not impressive at all. It may end up about #40-50 in decade-end, and be outperformed by The Hills, Sorry and Love Yourself eventually. There's more to it than just the amount of weeks it spent in the top ten, though. "Hello" had several weeks where it was just far and above most songs have ever gotten in terms of a single week's points. I mean, there was a week where it sold over 1,000,000 digital downloads and broke streaming records. That single week it spent at #1 could be the equivalent of 3 or 4 weeks for your average #1 hit. A song that comes out of the gate and crushes the competition so speedily is not going to have insane longevity in the upper regions as opposed to a song that grows naturally over the course of several months. Instead, it'll probably hold on a lot longer in the lower regions and recurrent sections of the chart. That being said, though, "Sorry"'s longevity thusfar has been exceptional, and it honestly would not surprise me to see it wind up being the 2016 year-end number one. (Also accounting for the fact that some of "Hello"'s most massive weeks were in 2015 not 2016.)

Hello's 18 weeks in top 10 is just not impressive at all. It may end up about #40-50 in decade-end, and be outperformed by The Hills, Sorry and Love Yourself eventually. To give this more perspective: 1. Hello has acquired more lifetime points than The Hills in less than half the amount of time. 2. Hello is still about 300k lifetime points ahead of Sorry. 3. Hello currently has about double the lifetime points of Love Yourself. So while eventually one or all these songs may pull ahead in lifetime points (although I'm personally doubtful) - Hello's massive (albeit shorter) run in the top 10 is incredibly impressive from a points perspective (regardless of how all-time charts are compiled). I did an in-depth overview on Hello's run as compared to that of Uptown Funk last week in the YE thread if you care to read it - it's pretty crazy.

Yup, that's the disadvantage of all-time charts and decade charts. They just look at chart positions and not points. The good thing is that Hello had 10 weeks at #1, and with the #1 earning about 1.5x the amount of points #2 gets, it may still be able to accumulate quite a bit for the decade.

Watch 7 Years become this year's Somebody That I Used To Know. At least it had grown on me. I could see it sneaking a week between Work and No, best case scenario. But it's good to see 7 Years doing so well, regardless.

Oh god, please don't let "NO" hit #1. It's not her worst song (though that's not saying much when her worst is half of my #1 pick for worst hits of 2015, and all of my #2), but it's still pretty bad.
