Yeah, either NO picks up on streaming or 7 Years will be the song to dethrone Work.

I think (and hope) 7 Years will dethrone Work not this week and not next week but the week after or three weeks from now Also Love Yourself BETTER tumble this week because it's the last chance for Flo Rida to get that top 3. I don't want My House to end up like Am I Wrong and Wake Me Up...

NO really needs to pick up on streaming to be a #1 contender. Luckily sales and radio are both doing well for the song I think it will pick up slowly but steadily. It's video was off to a slow start, but doing decently now..... IMO Work has another 2 weeks locked after this one.... and it's too early to say if NO can get #1, but it does have a chance. Apart from healthy streaming, sales need to hold up well too..... because even after 2 weeks, there will still be big streaming gap between Work and NO.

I don't want My House to end up like Am I Wrong and Wake Me Up... I'm afraid "7 Years" is peaking in points now..... and before it overtakes Work, it will get overtaken by "NO". Streaming will remain relatively flat next 3-4 weeks, and whatever gains it will have in airplay will be neutralized by a similar fall in sales. TOP-3 predictions for next few weeks: 16/4 chart: 1. Work - 42k 2. 7 Years - 33k 3. NO - 31K 23/4 chart: 1. Work - 38k 2/3. 7 Years - 33k 2/3. NO - 33k 30/4 chart: 1/2. Work - 34k 1/2. NO - 34k 3. 7 Years - 33k 30/4 chart will be pretty interesting to watch.... also it will be a very opportune time for a new single to be released by Adele/JB because that #1 is just sitting there for the taking.

See? According to Itisravi's perdiction, Work basically has 7th and 8th week locked and looks to procure its 9th not with a lot of difficulty. Some people just don't believe me that work can top the chart for 7-10 (especially about 8, 9 weeks). Now it seems like happening

And imo Work is an excellent song that deserves a monstrous run. It's like a novelty song that brings dancehall back and pretty well-executed and performed. Its chorus is one of those slow-burn fantasy with intense exotic vibe. Not instantly catchy, it belongs to the elite club to be carefully preserved as a nice piece of art with tight structure and fine texture. It's one of the really underrated songs. I mean, this song must some excellent qualities that the public may not have discovered, or it wouldn't have such tremendous success.
Now I think Work is the best song in top 10 (better than the comfortable ITAPII and SO, and more impressive in the long run than the fine PILLOWTALK)

Something off-topic here: I guess Hello is going to be racing See You Again to be the first video to pass Gangnam Style for most viewed video on YouTube. I believe "Hello" will get the record for fastest video to 2 billion views. It's still getting 4-5 million views/day, but it'll keep slowing down. Although it could see a slight uptick by the time her US leg of the tour starts. Not to mention if they release a video for the next single, it could link people to "Hello" and boost views that way. I can see "Hello" passing at least 2.5 billion views by the time the 2017 grammys happen. Or perhaps even overtaking "Gangnam Style" - which is still getting ~1 million views/day.

Obviously if the future has been predicted the same way by two or more people that makes it true. Predicting 3-4 weeks out usually comes with a big margin for error. Maybe not here?

Predictions: Rank | Song | Sales | Airplay | Streams | Points | 1 | Work | 80 | 125 | 30.0 | 46,400 | 2 | 7 Years | 120 | 70 | 15.0 | 32,800 | 3/4 | Love Yourself | 50 | 140 | 12.0 | 29,500 | 3/4 | My House | 85 | 100 | 12.0 | 29,400 | 5 | Stressed Out | 55 | 120 | 12.5 | 28,500 | 6 | NO | 125 | 70 | 8.0 | 27,500 | 7/8 | PILLOWATALK | 60 | 75 | 14.0 | 25,800 | 7/8 | Me, Myself & I | 50 | 95 | 13.0 | 25,800 | 9 | Cake By The Ocean | 50 | 90 | 10.5 | 23,300 | 10 | I Took A Pill | 60 | 65 | 10.5 | 22,000 | 11/12 | Sorry | 25 | 80 | 12.5 | 21,200 | 11/12 | Work From Home | 60 | 40 | 12.5 | 21,100 |
* "7 Years" will be #2 this week behind work, but there is a big gap between the two. * "My House" has a shot at getting a #3 peak, before it gets overtaken by NO next week. "NO" should rank #6 this week (slim shot at entering Top-5 if it can get more streams), and will be Top-3 next week. * ITAPII should re-enter Top-10. Sorry in all likelihood will drop out of Top-10 this week, so that's 21 weeks in Top-10. * WFM is gaining in points, and may enter Top-10 in coming weeks. That makes all of my top 12 predictions correct (Going by the upper songs winning the close place battles. What I mean is LY, PT, Sorry are the upper ones over MH, MM&I, and WFH. Wow at ITAPII only losing 1k sales (compared to last week).

Gotcha... In that case, wow. Seeing the future of the music industry leaning towards streaming sources and less towards digital/physical sales the past few years, that's a bit surprising to see.

Work's lead in streaming is so strong and still not peaking on airplay, sales are solid as well so 10 weeks or more at #1 is a strong possibility No is lagging behind in Spotify, that might cause her the #1 if it does not peak up anytime soon I think 7 Years will peak at #2 unless it will have a live performance on TV that goes viral or boost sales to bigger numbers

To me, not really. Most people use Spotify Free instead of iTunes because of it being free. Not surprising at all. (I didn't explain that correctly, but I think you know what I mean)

Since my post a couple days ago about kind-of realistic hopes for the top 10 (or so) wasn't that realistic, here we go again.
1. Work (=) 2. 7 Years (+1) 3. My House (+1) 4. Stressed Out (=) 5. Love Yourself (-3) 6. NO (+6) 7/8. PILLOWTALK (-1/-2) 8/7. Me, Myself & I (-1/=) [As long as PILLOWTALK and MM&I are still in the top 10, I don't really care which one gets #7] 9. I Took A Pill In Ibiza (+2) 10. Sorry (-2) [Just so it gets its 22nd week in the top 10] 11. Cake By The Ocean (-2) [This is not going higher than #9, so might as well let ITAPII pass it. This can move back into the top 10 after Sorry gets its 22nd week]
