Not trying to be rude or anything, but the AI updates make my eyes hurt. Oh, let's not get into this again! We've been nitpicking about the chart formatting to death. But yeah, I know what you're saying, bright colors tend to do that. Maybe you can turn the brightness down on your computer or something?

GS should've been #1 for 1 week at least, like 7 Years, which does have a chance if it can take over the AI Radio this week! But there is a song called Panda that is picking on it. I've noticed how the chart points are higher further down the Hot 100 lately. Rarely do songs outside the top 10 exceed 20k points... and it's been happening a lot lately. Several in one week. So while the top of the chart may be weaker right now, it seems the points are just more spread out. Yeah although personally I prefer a stronger top 10 or even top 20, that's the one we usually care about anyway and gets the press

Normally a song would have easily made Top-10 with this many points.

I'm really surprised by the success of Panda. I don't hate it or anything, infact I think it is OK, but it just seems like another trap song. It doesn't have the "annoying" hit-like quality of songs like Watch Me or the Fetty Wap tracks. Not sure what makes it stand out.

I also have wondered the same thing (except the fact that I like the Fetty tracks)

Credit to: www.kworb.net/airadio*** indicates that the song dropped or added a format -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My House and Hands To Myself lose 3m+, Work almost loses another 3m As you see, Thinking Out Loud gains 2 positions. It is on a quest to get that #1 peak! (lol) HOLY SH*T at One Dance! I think it is safe to say that this will be a huge hit. IT BETTER BE DRAKE'S #1 HIT!!! HE NEEDS A #1 (as lead artist)!!! And wow at PILLOWTALK STILL getting great gains. I swear it was starting to die last week

Stitches still gaining. I have no problem with this except for the fact that it is probably the cause of IKWYDLS underperforming and peaking quickly :(

The "Needed Me" video is dropping today, of course.

The "Needed Me" video is dropping today, of course. Rihanna obviously does not care about hot 100 peaks anymore

Interesting that Pop still hasn't embraced Panda despite its sales and monster streaming.
Might be another Harlem Shake situation.

What happened to Pandas sales? The explicit one is down 1& what I'm guessing is the clean one went down like 10 spots from early today/ late yesterday

Drake just saw a nice increase, but he's since fallen again. Panda is on the increase again and is back to #2. The two songs are very close on iTunes. It's just normal fluctuation between the two. The other version is also down in an area where songs are very close together. Just natural fluctuation makes the songs in that area move around a lot. If you look at the numbers, the second version has only fluctuated between .14 and .16 of the number one song, which isn't a very big difference.

Why is Lucas Graham still gaining in airplay? Personally it sounds not pretty on radio Stressed Out sounds much more radio-friendly and it never topped airplay chart at all?

Why is One Dance setting fire to the top 10 while Pop Style rolling in the deep?

Why is One Dance setting fire to the top 10 while Pop Style rolling in the deep? despite the song titles, One Dance has more pop appeal whereas Pop Style is more urban sounding (One Dance is climbing up the pop radio chart super fast)

Is there a 9-week chart-topper has worse airplay than Work? I mean, how is it possible that Work has such a bad airplay performance?

I haven't actually heard PS in full yet lol so I guess I can't really say I have a legitimate opinion on it. OD is okay for me, but it's gonna need to grow on me because for now I don't think it's one of his best songs at all.

Candle In The Wind 1997 had pretty poor airplay for a 14-week #1

I wonder, how many points overall would Gangnam Style have gotten if they were counting streaming/youtube during that time? Due to it pretty much breaking youtube and getting enough points to stay at #2 for a while without it, I'd have to imagine that it would almost be doing Hello numbers for a few weeks.

Gangnam Style not reaching number 1 is probably the saddest thing that has ever happened on the Hot 100.

and Gangnam Style topped the Streaming Songs chart long after it fell out of the Hot 100 anyway, let's try to avoid off-topic conversations so that this thread doesn't turn out like the last couple and let's get back to talking about this week's Hot 100 before the mods get pissed again

Now that that's fading away, the airplay chart should be easier for something else to top it.

Candle In The Wind 1997 had pretty poor airplay for a 14-week #1 And Something About the Way You Look Tonight was a bigger airplay hit from that release

I didn't expect Work to fade this fast in airplay I think it's normal for songs that peak on pop, rhythmic and urban at around the same time to fall fast (especially those without AC or UAC airplay which generally drops a lot slower), since dropping on 3 big formats at the same time means big decreases. But in Work's case it's probably even more magnified because I think a lot of pop DJs probably want to stop playing the song as soon as they can. Also, I hate to carry on the off-topic-ness, but I remember there was even an interview where Adam Levine seemed uncomfortable about blocking Gangnam Style. The Hot 100 formula was obviously wrong back then. I think their options were to decrease airplay or add Youtube (both those would've lead to Gangnam Style being #1 I believe). They went with the latter, it seems Billboard are quite reluctant to decrease airplay in the chart under a certain amount. Now whenever they adjust the formula it's always increasing sales and decreasing streaming, so airplay still stays roughly the same amount each time.
