Don't Let Me Down's airplay is pretty crazy. This kind of EDM pop isn't something I'd think would outrank so many others overall. It's nice! Meanwhile, Sit Still Look Pretty is over here like "hi! hey! mom! mommy! mama!" I'm sure Daya is thrilled with the success of DLMD, but I have to wonder how she feels about it steamrolling over her own SSLP. Although, who knows how it would have done if DLMD didn't exist. Too bad they didn't wait a little longer for SSLP and let it ride the coattails of DLMD. ______________________________ {Side Note}It's interesting to me that there are certain people who make their presence known to this weekly thread on regular basis, but rarely do they contribute anything of actual relevance to the topic. It's mostly to be a contrarian, to add to - or involve themselves in - the drama, bicker about the purpose of the thread, and/or to blatantly pick a fight. It's like they sit and wait for opportunities to pounce or debate, without ever (or rare enough that I can't recall much) sharing any info/data or even personal thoughts about the week's hot songs and/or the way the chart is shaping up. This doesn't go unnoticed, at least not by me, and it makes me wonder what these people are thinking. I, for one, care what others think of my contributions in a community like this, and it seems that certain others absolutely do not give a sh*t and have very little in terms of relevant contributions... and that, to me, is a form of trolling.
Then there are those that feel the need to repeat the same theme in most or all of their posts - always looking for new ways to rehash the same negative buzzkill that never seems to garner any "likes" from anyone, not to mention all the less-than-favorable feedback, repeatedly. We are all privy to our own thoughts and can share them as we see fit, as often as we see fit, but we also know our audience and what kind of reaction we're going to get after the first 1 to 3x we post the same thing, thematically, so we shouldn't be surprised when the same people push back on us. Just as others can choose to ignore us, we can also each choose to refrain from posting our every thought (and often times negative thought), just for the sake of, well, what's the point? Are we contributing in a way that's beneficial to others or just selfishly venting our own unhappiness in various ways, repeatedly? Again, this - to me - is a form of trolling.
As a community, we should all try a little harder to actually contribute worthwhile info and/or thoughts to this thread rather than just regurgitate our own negative feelings and/or jump in and add to the tension whenever we smell drama. I'll be the first to admit that I am not perfect, but I am mindful and my intentions are good, and I do contribute things of relevance and discussion to this and other threads regularly. I'll post things sometimes only to delete them because I feel like I need to edit myself. I aslo find myself trying to reason with people who seem riddled with negativity and share another perspective with them, but I also know when to say when and/or when people just want attention repeatedly, and just let. it. go.

So I guess JT doesn't have much of a chance to return to #1 now? :(

So I guess JT doesn't have much of a chance to return to #1 now? :( Stranger things have happened! The competition is pretty exciting right now, even if it does seem relatively doom-and-gloomy for CSTF going back to #1 at the moment. Maybe some kind of promotion is on the way and it'll surprise us all...

Yeah ignore him. I got a warning for responding to his troll posts. Same. Also, it's been mentioned for a few weeks but add me to the list of those surprised by Pink. That's becoming a real wow moment for several reasons.

I'm really happy with the success of Just Like Fire as people seem to be in it for P!NK. The movie didn't do (as) well (as people thought it would?) so its success, in my eyes, is not linked to the movie at all, or at least for the most part. This makes me excited for when P!NK returns with work for her own album, I hope people can be just as enthusiastic to buy that too :)

So I guess JT doesn't have much of a chance to return to #1 now? :( He could, but I'm still kinda surprised by this song's performance. Of course it's doing very well but I thought CSTF was going to be a "Blurred Lines"/"See You Again" type of dominating smash. It's sales and airplay were monstrous out of the gate (and have held up since) and it just had the sound of a summer song that we were all going to be completely sick of in 3 months. But Drake's streaming, while always huge, has been completely astronomical this time around. There's just no denying "One Dance".

Although it grew on me a bit lately, I don't think JLF is that great personally. I still can't believe F**kin' Perfect never reached #1 :/ I remember it jumped 11-2 or something and seemed like a guaranteed #1 but somehow stalled after that and never ascended to the pinnacle from there. I still think that's her best song.

I sure hope JT can reclaim number one, feel good summer songs make the summer fun. This troll isn't trying to upset anyone here. There are 100 different songs on the chart and 1000s of other songs and artists released every year. In previous es I've liked certain songs and got cut down telling me they are boring as have other posts by people I don't like Rihanna latest music and should be able to say it's no good without being jumped on. The Artists I find appealing don't always have huge hits and I find it odd that if I mention them people disregard them as if they don't exist. I won't make references to what I find horrible if you All can do the same.

Just because Drake and RihannA are hogging many positions on the chart doesn't mean everyone likes them. I am not the majority and never will be one to jump on the hottest thing at the moment to fit in. I was always the odd one anyway when hairbands, grunge, or whatever the latest .music craze was, I had either already moved on or liked something completely different. The Artists I'd like to see more of don't always have the Appeal for the majority and tend to have lower charting singles This is a discussions board for the hot 100 , not the Diva and male. Hip hop chart show.

I'm loving this EDM dominance on radio. First ITAPII went really high on radio, now DLMD is flying up the radio charts and TIWYCF is right behind it. Also, pertaining to Daya, I hope she continues to push SSLP after DLMD peaks. She is getting a lot of spins of both songs here in Pittsburgh so I hope she can keep up her momentum. I was not a fan of Hide Away but her current two singles are fire!

I double posted because I had more to say. Is that an issue? presumably yes it is if it's strictly against the rules on Pulse and you're putting yourself at risk of getting a warning/suspension. The "edit" button exists for a reason. I see you strategically double posted this to let everyone know beyond a shadow of doubt that you're trolling right now. But hey, if you actually want to get a warning that none of my business lol.

...is this not a discussion board? ...is this not a discussion board? Yes but..to discuss what? " Westlife's" posting style? or anticipation of the 7/2/2016 Hot 100 that is due out next week? One is related to the thread topic, the other is not.

If you think someone's posts are against the rules, report them β don't reply in the thread. That's in the rules too.

Yeah, at this point it's kind of nitpicking and being the prince of nitpicking, even I think it's a bit much. It's not like westlife4eva has a habit of double posting...
And now, back to the countdown!

Well if anything I was just trying to help them out... Is One Dance going to get 10 weeks at #1? :O I'm skeptical. It will all depend on the video, because right now it's losing streaming and sales, just peaked on airplay, and is only around 5000 points above the 40k mark.

I accidentally double posted that second time. My phone stuck. Sorry. And I don't have an edit button my screen .back to the charts. Has anyone heard whether or not Lukas Graham is promoting anything else after. 7 years. I've had both their albums and the songs are old now except to America. But like other acts who finally break here never seem to get a second hit from albums of previously released material.

I'm going to be completely honest here...I usually try to post relevant/interesting information but this comment is 100% just to get my 500th post and FINALLY, after 7 years, stop being a "new" member! Appropriate that it comes after Westlifefan4eva's post about the song "7 Years", no?

I would love to see "Don't Let Me Down" hit #1, but obviously that probably won't happen. It's easily my favorite song in the Top 10 right now (and oddly enough, one of like four I actually like).
