I absolutely LOVE Marry The Night -- the original version, piano version, and this Kylie version. That is Gaga's sweet spot, give us some more stadium anthems girl!

Kylies was really cute, she did fantastic. Nothing tops that gritty, grunginess of Gaga's for me though. I appreciate the production on it more as the years ago by.

What a pleasant surprise to have Olly cover Edge of Glory!
His version isn’t near as dynamic as Gaga’s but he makes it his own. It’s still a bit stiff though, considering his own songs, but I’ll still use it!

Listening to Ben’s cover of you and I. It might be my least favourite of the covers overall. It also occurs to me that there was a huge missed opportunity to have this song covered as the southern rock roots song it was meant to be. Not sure which LGBTQ+ artist could have pulled that off but maybe it should have been what the Highwomen covered. (Listening to theirs next)
The Highwomen’s Highway Unicorn actually works. I do like it but I don’t love it. I’m not sure if I hear Maren in there but I think Natalie has the lead, and I think she has the weakest vocal of the group - and I don’t think Brandi was on it, which is unfortunate as the recording really could have used her. It’s not as dynamic as it should have been.

I really love the new version of HU but don't hear Brandi there singing. Overall, the set of covers is pretty strong and done with taste.
