Tour postponed to summer 2022. I am relieved. The only thing I have to say about this is why bother with a continued theme of Chromatica and call it the Chromatica Ball Tour? The album would have been out over two years by that point and she sort of gave up on it after two songs. She would be better served by coming out with a new album and make that the main focus and also include material from Chromatica. I really liked the album, but by this point, I have sort of forgotten about it because she sort of came and went very quickly with it. You can only blame part of it on pandemic, but not even that much, because she still managed to release two banger singles and get two top 5 hits at the height of the pandemic. Other artists got creative with their promo and released critically acclaimed work. She could have made it work.

I have tickets for the NYC show and it was supposed to be my first time seeing her live. I agree, the Chromatica theme needs to go and return to the drawing board. I feel bad for the people who bought tickets when they first went on sale. But seeing how light the ticket sales were, I’m not shocked it’s “postponed” again.

Other artists got creative with their promo and released critically acclaimed work. She could have made it work. This was a thing last year about how others made it work but she didn’t. I think the songs are built around bigger performances so while it would have been nice to get something more, I think she’s within her rights to not do that if it meant half-assing it. Particularly since we didn’t know how long the pandemic would go on for (and I guess still don’t) so she took the risk of waiting and maybe it didn’t pay off. Plus, it’s not like she’s been doing nothing. In any case, I do agree that calling it the Chromatica Ball will probably feel weird in a year from now, as it will all be done and buried by then. The remix album is giving the era a slight extension but that won’t be felt by all. I could see the mini-tour receiving a restructure or reframing, and maybe there’ll be new music by then anyway. If that happens I hope she doesn’t pull back on performing songs from the album. It’s meant to be heard in a big sweaty setting!

She also has the Enigma conceot but I hope they don't do that overseas. I've watched the Miami concert 3 times already. And we don't even have the new dates yet. Why so negative... Dua Lipa and The Weeknd are doing their album related tours next year too. I'm glad that they postponed the dates, it was the right thing to do (and basically all other artists have done the same).

She can always record an album this year, she has plenty of time until the promo for Gucci movie starts. Then she'll have to do campaign for award season and she can release a new album in April and tour the two albums.

What's negative? I said it would have been two years since she released Chromatica and it would sort of be out of public consciousness by then and she should release some new material. I would say the same for Dua Lipa and the Weeknd as well.

Ariana called it the sweetener tour even if by then she was already well into the thank u, next era.
Chromatica is a cool theme for a concert, even if she somehow sneaks some new material by then.

Is Monster Ball Tour available on Youtube? I heard a streaming service called Quello(?) will stream it during Pride month along with concerts of Madonna, Kylie, etc.

We can’t forget that Tony Bennet got really ill, so maybe that took the wind out of her sails. Who knows.

They’re interesting. I doubt they’d be something I’d return to on my own the way I would for the album, but it’s still interesting to hear other artists reimagine these songs. It’s such a great concept and I’m curious to see who else might have been involved. Honestly the names of the two so far are bigger than I expected.

I love both new versions. But they have no commercial relevance whatsoever. They are there to celebrate the legacy of Born This Way, nothing more, nothing less.
The anniversary edition might sell some copies though and hopefully Pitchfork will review the album at last.

LOVE THAT MTN COVER!!!
Although a bit bizarre as Kylie is not LGBTQA+ as far as I know but I'll gladly take this!

I also thought this but then went to check back on the wording in her caption announcing the 10th Anniversary edition: "In addition to the album’s 14 original songs, #TheTenthAnniversary edition will also include a second disc of reimagined versions of #BornThisWay songs by incredible artists who both represent and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community." I imagine Kylie Minogue is included in the "advocates of the LGBTQIA+ community" umbrella.

Kylie is one of the biggest gay icons and allies in music world so it's perfectly normal for her to be included in this. I didn't expect it to enjoy MTN cover like i do, she did a good job.
