Twenty-three pages for a #9 single? Not bad.

@adam1995 I seriously doubt radio will drop Carrie Underwood as a whole anytime soon at all, even though she is female. One single getting a Top 10 finish doesn't mean she's anywhere close to done radio success wise. It was just that this song will not work as a radio single in 2018 or really any time at all and has nothing to do with the artist or gender itself. I feel like if any artist like Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, etc. would have released a song similar to this in terms of production, and sonic nature it would have met a similar fate. I meant the song.

"Games" charted on its own without being released as a single in between the time "I See You" peaked and his next lead single dropped a few months later. If it were an official single, it absolutely would've gone all the way to the top or at worst a couple spots shy of #1.

I'm looking forward to other songs from her as this was near the bottom of her discography for me but "The Champion" was a solid song so I have faith in the rest of her record.

Twenty-three pages for a #9 single? Not bad. I’ve noticed that ALL of Carrie’s threads are longer than most other artists’ threads.

Even though I have not warmed up to Cry Pretty, I was expecting a lot more to kick off her Capitol Era. After all, she's been at the label for a year and a half.

"Love Wins" is available for sale on iTunes Down Under. That probably means that it will be available in USA at midnight tonight. It also means you can go and listen to the preview on iTunes, if that's your kind of thing.
Would that mean they will send it out to radio around the album release? That could help with a strong debut.

This thread has been fueled by some out of the ordinary conversation, too. A handful of those pages are if her album artwork is too feminine or not. Plus, we had the user that was responding to every single post as their own new post. All in all, this thread has been quite the trip.

“Love Wins” just dropped on iTunes. More classic Carrie compared to “Cry Pretty”. I see this flying up the charts if they are indeed releasing it as the second single.

Was cry pretty her first lead single to miss the top five on country radio? Yes. It's her first single ever to do that.
