Are there any major releases this week? If not she might have a shot at racing to the top next week right? No, there aren't. Dua's biggest threat was supposed to be All Time Low's Wake Up, Sunshine because of physical sales, but these were pushed back until next month, so they are only relying on downloads and streaming and these aren't as great as her sophomore album. However, she's competing with The Weeknd's After Hours and Lewis Capaldi's Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent. With most of the stores closed, the charts are expected to be down to streaming and downloads in the following weeks, although people could still buy physical products from retailers. That said, her official store has run out of stock and they are only selling the CDs, so this is a major con for her right now. As a side note, isn't it a little bit ironic that she has been blocked twice ("Don't Start Now" and Future Nostalgia) by Australian acts? Sigh!

This really is the Blackout of it's time Robbed of #1 I've seen Blackout comparisons come up a few times, but it crossed my mind earlier that in some ways this album is starting off more like Breakaway (in the US, at least), even down to the urban-dominated market preventing the smash lead single from reaching #1 on the Hot 100. Breakaway's longevity was insane and it went five singles deep so I will be more than elated if this similarity carries out in the long run. There will be at least one difference though with the deluxe re-release that we already know Dua is planning (Breakaway didn't have that).

Ya know, if they play the rollout right This can be the Teenage Dream of the 2020's. It similarly was released at the start of a new decade and if they do the singles and videos right, she can be an icon
One can only dream I guess, idk a bitch is bored at home and just thinking and this was my random thought of the hour. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.

ok but I wish "Love Again" could get its dues at radio. That one oughta be a single too imo. (Unless of course the re-release has some tracks that'll throw our wigs even farther)

I would add Levitating to Cool/Hallucinate too (since Physical didn't get a radio push in the US and I don't think Warner is going to double back to it as fourth or fifth single). I have the slightest preference for Levitating out of those three, but I don't really care what order they're released in because they're all perfection. and ch at the rate RCA is going If It Ain't Me is going to have to double as Normani's lead single. I'm dying over here. I need both of my newest faves to be dominating right now, argh!

I don’t know if “Hallucinate” would do anything in the US... I Mean its a banger but a bit too eurodance for top 40. For the US specifically i would go with “Levitating” “Love Again” & “Cool” , Those are the ones that could have a good shot on radio.
I would push those 3 singles and then bring on the re-release with the Normani collab. Dua is miles away from being overexposed in the US, so there should be no problem with radio embracing singles

I wouldnt expect 6 singles ahead of it. Maybe when the third one is close to peaking?

I wouldnt expect 6 singles ahead of it. Maybe when the third one is close to peaking? It really depends on the strength, stability and longevity of "Break My Heart" on Pop. If it lasts as long as "DSN" did, then I could see her pushing a single from the re-release soon after. But I think she'll definitely release at least one more single from the standard edition of the album before releasing new music.

The Monday update is out in the UK. Future Nostalgia is currently at #1 (6.2k), while Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is at #2 (3.3k). There's no pre-orders reported yet, so it's still unknown how Wake Up, Sunshine is doing.

Excellent debut for "Break My Heart", and given how it's been rising steadily on radio, I hope it becomes a solid hit 😍

I absolutely love how she sounds on Cool -- I wish she used that register of her voice more often.

I could be wrong with the following, but I think the initial plan of the re-release was to be out later this year. I mean, I assume this because Dua would have promoted the album with the tour and she could have unveiled the first track of the re-release during Q4. However, with the tour being postponed until early next year and COVID-19, I guess it doesn't make any sense to release it now and Warner could go deeper with this instead. I initially thought that her label wasn't going to push any song from the album after it was released and they were going to go with the second wind of the album, but it seems that their plan was to release, at least, a song after the album was out and it was going to be "Love Again" before the pandemic happened. With this taken into consideration and without any proper promotion because of social isolation around the world, it's been said that "Levitating" may also receive a proper push now, so their plan is likely to go with two singles post-album release, which is something I don't think it's seen nowadays. Also, the latter makes sense because Hannah Neaves, who is Tap Music head of marketing, mentioned to Music Week that this is an album campaign for the next two or three years and (her) touring, so it makes me think that Warner could plan the re-release after the first leg of the European and UK tour is done.

Future Nostalgia Peaks:
#1 - Czech Republic #1 - Finland #1 - Ireland #1 - Lithuania #1 - New Zealand
#2 - Australia #2 - Belgium (Flanders) #2 - Canada #2 - Norway #2 - United Kingdom #3 - Italy #3 - Netherlands #3 - Spain (streaming chart, main is disabled for now) #4 - Germany #4 - Sweden #4 - United States

GREAT peaks worldwide!! Hoping this does well the rest of the year, and ultimately ends up as one of the biggest albums on streaming. This should also get the #1 in the UK this week!

+1 I don't think we'll get the first single from the re-release until later this year / early next year. Deluxe album to follow a month or two after. BMH should keep things going in the US & Worldwide at least until the end of June. I hope they release Levitating in early July as the third US / fourth WW single. That should keep things going until October. I hope they get rid of the Normani song. Her label is smart, and they see her music is sticking.

Also what is the difference between the re-release and the deluxe? I've read posts that distinguish between the 2 so I'm assuming they're 2 separate reissues. No?

Honestly, we don't know what's the plan with the re-relase or Deluxe version of the album. They can just start releasing collabs with other artists (Silk City) and several stand alone singles, then release all that new material and a few new album tracks with the original album as a 'Deluxe' at the end. Releasing just one new single and then the re-release just doesn't make sense in this day and age.
