What’s wrong with the “Christian” music? 💀 That’s where his passion and faith, more importantly, is at the moment.
I agree that, career wise, he’s merely been a radio-face. As of right now he’s the middle ground between Maroon 5 & Chris Brown. I think you just answered your question right there. There's nothing wrong with Christians making music - tons of great artists are Christians - but when it becomes more about reaffirming (or just reestablishing without explaining) your faith and less about the art, well it makes for boring music. Also, "Holy" doesn't come off as authentic or sincere, and more as an attempt to pander to the Christian audience. Keep in mind that's just my personal opinion, of course, and I also feel similarly about Kanye's "Jesus Is King" project, although there are external circumstances justifying his abrupt 180. On the other hand, a good example of an artist embracing their faith is Mariah Carey. She has never done a full Christian album, but songs like "Make It Happen" and "Fly Like A Bird" come from a much more genuine place. While "Holy" is just a love song incorporating gospel aesthetics, the two I mentioned, especially "Make It Happen" showcase appreciation and gratitude for her religious faith keeping her down-to-earth and giving her hope during dark times. |

This is a wonderful idea for Adele to remind people of her talentry. I think no new music this weekend but perhaps in the next couple of weeks? That would align with the rumors that said she'd be dropping in November. Either way, excited to see what she does as the host!

If Adele were releasing music on the 24th October, Scooter Braun would have known and there’s not a single chance that he would still allow Ariana Grande to release on the same date. 💀
That said, perhaps Adele is looking to release music the following week or several weeks after. This gig may moreso be a way of reintroducing her to the GP prior to the actual era.
