I think that prediction for BL is for 12/19 chart. A lot of Taylor, Kid Cudi, Christmas songs could push it out. It looks like only a few will top it. We have to also account for the fact that BL is declining in Radio. I do not know the exact point breakdown, but it will come down to BLs radio performance.

This is the most interesting thing about folklore. The album failed to spawn a smash like past Swift records, but sold & continues to sell incredibly well. People that wouldnβt typically listen to Swift did listen to folklore. Itβs impressive. Isn't its success a bit misleading because of all the gimmicks/tricks to lift sales? Where did it fall among most streamed albums of 2020? That's only for sales. For audio streaming, it does have over a billion song US audio streams (one of thirty albums) according to HITS, which is something that, for example, Future Nostalgia, to an album released before it have yet to accomplish this year. It actually has slightly more streams than Morgan Whallen's If I Know Me.

Madonna mentioned Kid Cudi's album in her latest tweet, it means nothing but might make a few curious fans like me to check his album out. Never listened to any of his albums though.

This week is gonna be one of the most hectic weeks on the charts, Christmas and an album all in one week, most of the songs are gonna drop off or take a major step back.

TOTC said Willow mah be #2. So wtf is #1. AIWFCIY? Or Mood based on EARLY TOTC prediction, AIWFCIY is #1 with 320 points, and willow at #2 with 300. I'm 100% sure Taylor's team will do something about it, since it's really close.

Along with I Hope being pulled from pop radio, I heard Dynamite and Be Like That also got pulled. what does "pulled from radio" even mean?? those songs are all just falling? Yes, this started when GaGa fans said that Rain On Me was "pulled" from radio. The label just stopped promoting it. Pulled, to me, means taken off the radio. Rain On me charted for weeks and weeks after. People need to start saying "Promotion has ended."

Yeah that Kesha song being pulled after that school shooting is more appropriate for "pulled from radio."

^Yes! Thanks. And maybe horrible first singles that chart for 2-3 weeks and then the label moves onto the better 2nd single. Bieber's Yummy. And that one horrible Ariana Grade 1st single... EDIT: Focus: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focus_(Ariana_Grande_song)

It'd be nice to get some sort of preview of the most consumed acts in the US before Nielsen eventually publishes their year-end report.

the charts are such a joke right now thank u for reciprocating my feelings. 2020 wasnt a bad year for pop music but i still hate it because i literally stopped checking the billboard charts this year. So irrelevant. I only get billboard news from here now.

I wish HDD had a YTD chart for overall activity for artists and not just albums. It'd be nice to get some sort of preview of the most consumed acts in the US before Nielsen eventually publishes their year-end report. Well Rolling Stone gives the 500 most streamed artists every week (Audio Strams). ~350+ artists have charted each week of 2020. Here are top 100:
Note: There is a problem with credits. Example Juice WRLD apears under these credits "Juice WRLD", "benny blanco, Juice WRLD", "Juice WRLD & Trippie Redd" ... I only count the ones where the artist appears first like #1 & #3. #2 is not counted. The problem appears when "Juice WRLD & Trippie Redd" is no longer top 500 so those streams are lost in thin air (they don't go to only "Juice WRLD").
But anyways this should give a rough picture. The only artists that will advance in the list are big pure sellers like Taylor Swift. Nielsen measures Video Streaming the same way as Billboard, so safe to say those numbers are so low they are almost irrelevant.

Cudi about to pull off one of the greatest comebacks ever, wow. I like Cudi but lol at this hyperbole. Hyperbole how? His last solo albums peaked at #11 and #36 on the bb200 respectively. To go from that to potentially 175k sps and 200 million streams first week is one of the biggest comebacks in my book.

^I get the feeling it's because of those who were introduced (or reintroduced) to him thanks to THE SCOTTS and that Eminem collab, plus features from more significant names than in the past on this project.
