Pretty sure she was shooting a MV yesterday with the photos she posted. Probably for "Game Boy"/"Gameboy" since she posted some lyrics. Although, with all the signs of "Cherry Blossom" being out soon, I'm wondering if she's doing the double single thing again for this era. Hoping we get the songs in the next few weeks!

I was gonna say, there’s no way she can release a song called Cherry Blossom without filming a music video surrounded by lots of cherry blossom trees. We are just entering peak bloom now so expect the video to be shot right around now! |

Desperately need a new album from her. I’m glad it seems to be moving closer to a release! The mix of influences she’s put out there have definitely piqued my interest.

Wow! I missed that clip of Cherry Blossom. LOVEEEEE it. Has there been any intel on single release?? Nothing official. Just a bunch of teasers and some little hints that fans have found/picked up on. There's an insider who claims the album will be out in June, but I'm not sure how reliable that is. If that's true, I'm hoping we get the single(s) by mid-April at the latest. With all the teasers and how Kacey and some of her collaborators have been liking tweets from fans about "Cherry Blossom" and the fact that if you search for "Kacey Musgraves Cherry Blossom" on Shazam and Apple Music, her artist page pops up (usually you just get a "no results" error if there's no match) I think CB has to be one of the songs coming soon. The lyrics she posted the other day were not to CB though. No intel on that song, but hopefully we get a double single with both of them soon. |

Her Insta story yesterday showed her in blue sweatpants/sweatshirt, with cherries embroidered on the shirt. The second photo zoomed in on the cherries..... I AM READY!

she just confirmed star crossed is the album title! yey! Unless I'm missing something, I don't think that's necessarily the name of the album? Butterflies certainly wasn't the title of the last record and the third image has the butterfly emoji. We know "Star Crossed" is a song on the album and could very well be the lead single, but I'm thinking her response is giving a song that best gives the overall feel of the album. Very well still could be the album title, but I'm not sure this tweet confirms that. Regardless, this is the first time she's tweeted anything about "Star Crossed" since the Rolling Stones article though and I keep hearing from supposed insiders that something is coming soon, so I'm hoping we get something in the next month. She has posted WAY too many IG Stories with cherry blossoms in it (or the cherry on her sweater the other day) for "Cherry Blossom" not to be coming sometime soon as well. Maybe "Star Crossed" will be released as a dual single release just like "Butterflies" and "Space Cowboy" from the last era. |

I don't know, by reading that article, I'm actually not expecting a big shift in sound to be honest... but I'm very excited that Universal is seeing so much potential in Kacey and in this project

Definitely could see her getting some formal crossover pushes with this news. Doesn't mean her sound will change at all, several songs from GH could've been hits on other formats. "High Horse" was even sent to HAC radio and "Oh What a World" was sent to AAA radio. With Interscope behind the entire project, rather than just helping with a small radio push, I could see some actual crossover success.

According to an insider's Last.fm scrobbles, Kacey's album will have 15 tracks! The titles of the songs are coded with just the first letter of each word in the title, but here they are if anyone cares. Not sure if this is in tracklist order or not. ITWAM CB (Cherry Blossom) SC (Star Crossed) b TIAL CR ESTD A J KLU HS ST WDKM GW GALV Not sure how accurate this is though since Kacey teased lyrics to a song called Gameboy (or Game Boy) with a photo of a Gameboy. I guess it could be named something different but that would be a little odd. Kacey also replied to a fan on Twitter saying she's not releasing anything in May. I hope she's trolling us though. Another insider claims the album is ready for release and they aren't sure why the delay. Also in sad news, Kacey and Gerald no longer follow each other on Instagram.  |

The acronym GALV stands for "Gracias A La Vida", which is a song by Violeta Parra and Kacey is going to do a cover of it.
Also, the following was mentioned by Ultrasubversive, who is an insider.
• 15 amazing tracks
• Last song is a Spanish cover
• It's not pure pop, more like alternative pop stuff with a lot of influences from other genres: latin, country, folk, trip-hop/psychedelic.
• Lots of different instruments too: flute, sitar, etc.

Selfishly, I'm less than thrilled to hear she's going to have a Spanish song on the record since I don't particularly care for songs in different languages since I only know English. However, I am very intrigued to hear what Kacey does with the arrangement of this and am truly inspired by how she experiments with so many different sounds. I know she's been really excited about learning Spanish so you know she's really excited about this song being on the album (the Rolling Stone interview also shows her enthusiasm for this song).
So so so so ready for this album. Please hurry up and at least give us a date to look forward to!
