BTS stans display sheer amounts of arrogance and stubbornness. I don't care what race or orientation they are part of, they are still using tactics to cheat the chart and attacks anyone who calls out on it. He's just calling out their tactics and never gave a s**t about any attention, he's been doing this for years and never complained. Olivia's song is #1 on other charts around many countries, even the Rolling Stones put it #1. Good 4 U is at top of Spotify and Apple Music, it's not doing well on radio, and not even on top of iTunes. We want an accurate chart that reflects what the whole entire GP listens to, not some chaotic fanbase.

Supporting a favourite artist is one thing but cheating others out of it is a whole other game and that’s what Army does. I support my favourite artists. I don’t do it to the extent that I cockblock every other artist from achieving rightfully deserved milestones.

They're exploiting a legal loophole in the system, that's only partially possible because the market for sales is dead as fuck yet Billboard is still giving it ample weight on the charts for some reason. They're smart enough to use sales instead of, say, the way 6ix9ine tried to game the charts but used the least valuable metric instead (Youtube streams lmao, dumb as fuck).

Billboard needs to do something about it. But they love the clicks.

I think Mark knew that Army would bombard him the moment he made that thread. He's covered them enough times to know how they work, and kudos to him for all but handling it like a pro (as he should).

In the meantime, I'll stick to following Rolling Stone, the V30, and the Global 200 for the time being, all of which deweight sales enough to at least feel reasonable. Army can keep on doing what they're doing and make the Hot 100 their b*tch for as long as possible and I won't complain, because they deserve each other.

True but they delusionally think they're ending racism or something, and that by clogging up the charts, people will eventually legitimately like the s**tty songs. It's misguided, but still.

The last time they "won" and then stopped mass buying, the #1 hit broke a record for shortest stay on the chart for a chart-topper...

In reality, at least for me, this mess doesn't actually make me more interested in their music. Quite the opposite actually; it happens with every annoying fanbase. I have grown to enjoy some One Direction stuff after many years, but at their commercial peak the fanbase was so annoying that I actively ran the opposite direction.

Not you ignoring the entire point of the post being that BTS does receive radio play lmao, I think the army really gets confused about the hate. Most people here hate the fanbases not BTS themselves since y'all go on and on and on about how BTS is mistreated and abused by media and so forth when it's the exact opposite.

Additionally another fraction of people are just against the fact that the Army actively practices and promotes chart manipulation and while yes that's an issue stemming from Billboard's rulings, it is still being intentionally exploited more and more though this is not an issue with just the Army but it's the most prevalent there.
