I was browsing through twitter and seeing all the posts about doja and Megan and Nicki and Saweetie on my timeline and remembering how I did that back when Stay managed to get 300 points while at number one.

I think of the funny thing about Heat Waves is the fact that 59 weeks in, over one year of being viral in tik tok through half a dozen of trends involving it ranging from being the soundtrack to a gay fanfic about Minecraft YouTubers to just about everything else, being one of the most played song in the radio at the moment, etc... its still #12 in Shazam, which meant there are still thousands of people discovering the song for the first time even now.

Still think that Gayle has a chance to get the #1 with her EP coming out on the 18th, I don't see anything else from it charting but things are so weak right now that extra boost could be what it needs to get to the top

I really REALLY hope Billboard lets Something In The Way chart, you don't see old songs doing THAT well on Spotify very often even with more and more old songs charting there

That would be fun. I'm always for old songs making belated Hot 100 appearances and "Something in the Way" is a great song. Wish "Lost" would join it, though.

Here's the song in question. If you know your 1970s one hit wonders, you know Cory Daye as the frontwoman for the big band/disco hybrid group Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band. This song, well, it isn't as good as "Cherchez La Femme". It also sounds nothing like "Levitating". The cadence of the verses are slightly similar, but "Wiggle and Giggle" is going for a calypso thing with those verses that "Levitating" really isn't.

Here in Europe, Sacrifice is actually the 4th most played song in the entire continent. Only Abcdefu, Cold Heart and Shivers are played more. That's a big push for a song that is doing awful streaming numbers

^Yeah I'm betting they're going to probably do a big push for the album (with a deluxe) the week the boxsets, cassettes, and vinyls drop. I feel like they're are not gonna let that opportunity slip unless a big drop is confirmed to arrive at that week. I also suspect around that time we'll probably get a music video for "Out of Time" as (at least according to the callouts) "Sacrifice" is pretty much done and the tour is going to commence soon.

Off topic, but with radio having more of an impact than streaming this time around chart wise, how will it impact All I Want for Christmas Is You and other holidays songs? I mean AC will continuously play holiday songs, but I wonder who will have the edge to be #1 this year. Idk just a random thought since it’s 11:59pm lol.

No reason to believe streaming won't be on normal levels by December. There's been a clear lack of interest on new releases but streaming is still growing while radio slowly decreased each year.
