Renaissance's % is fine, the numbers are not. But it's not that Spotify is her main platform anyway.

The Zone by The Weeknd & Drake is gaining traction on Tiktok thanks to a few viral videos using the sound. It's not a given, but I do hope Tiktok helps in attracting peoples'attention to his older work. All we need now is a trend using Kiss Land or Pretty

Now that charts are out and we can expect at least 10-12 debuts in the Top 40, prepare to say goodbye to Super Gremlin, THATS WHAT I WANT, Woman, Sweetest Pie, and What Happened to Virgil

"Woman"'s definitely leaving the charts even without the Beyonce album bomb because of the 25/52 recurrency rule.

Taylor Swift's "august" re-enters at #11 on US and global Spotify with 656K and 2.9 million streams, respectively.

Boyfriend’s Hot 100 fall was really quick. It peaked in late June, and it’s about to leave the chart altogether in the first half of August. I thought it was going to at least challenge Til You Can’t on the YE chart, but I guess this is what happens when the streaming is no longer there. I get the feeling the same thing will happen to Numb Little Bug, especially after the EP failed to give it a boost.

Why? None of the hit singles from Fearless TV and Red TV made that much noise. It was either the vault tracks or album tracks that did. In fact, the only TV track to go #1 was a new extended version of Taylor's most beloved fan favorite finally getting its time in the spotlight to people who had never heard it before with promo behind it. No, the chances of another TV rerecording getting to #1 are incredibly low. The only other one with the best chance that I can think of is Enchanted, and even then that's slim since it already got its time to shine with people who were previously unfamiliar with it before last year. I can see a vault track going #1, but even then that's not a very high chance. Instead, we should be looking towards Taylor's next original non-COVID inspired album for her next big hit. It's been 3 years since Lover, people are itching for that Taylor to return. (Although if Lover is any indication, then we're going to get the worst tracks from the album as the first couple of singles lol.) Unlike the Fearless and Red Singles, Blank Space is setting new highs on Spotify this year, more than 7 years after release (and keep in mind that BS was a 7-week #1 in its original release). The demand is there for BS that just wasn’t there for the hit singles of Fearless and Red. BS (TV) will be the highest charting song from 1989 (TV), and if the Swifties can get #1’s over AIWFCIY and Adele, they’ll get this one to #1 especially if it’s released while the charts are still weak. Okay but, if you’re wrong, will you change?

It doesn't seem like any of these Taylor Swift songs will impact the Hot 100 being discussed here, so aren't those stats more appropriate for a different thread?

Thought I was the only one who was confused as to why she’s being brought up. Not only do we have to deal with her as a constant figure yearly (sometimes multiple times a year) due to her oversaturated releases and re-releases, but now we have to take her fans bickering about her numbers even during off-cycle periods? It’s tiring.

The Renaissance falls on Spotify are nasty. I think the album performance deserves a little more credit than that. If we're comparing its percentage holds to the 10 biggest Spotify bombs this year: The -28% Saturday was better than Kendrick (-46%), Harry (-33%), Drake (-48%), The Weeknd (-30%), Future (-34%), Juice WRLD (-35%), Harlow (-29%), and Gunna (-30%) And the -33% Sunday was better than Kendrick (-35%), Drake (-36%), Juice (-34%), and Gunna (-39%) So it's dropping at an, at worst, average pace so far. Good for those comparative percentages, but the actual numbers are still worrisome.

I mean...the total also looks on track to contend for the top 5 bombs of the year. So unless you expected it to be the biggest no contest, I still don't see what's there not to be happy about.

I'm not happy with the falls and the fact that next week's #1 song is almost out of the top 10 during the week of the bomb, and I thought it would have at least secured a #1 and slightly bigger numbers on Spotify. Everybody has their own expectations, though.

People are out here thinking that Beyonce is going to ride a white horse and save the charts from themselves, but looking at it, Renaissance is performing like an average album from an A-lister in terms of its drop, suggesting that it will put a bunch of songs on the charts but not likely stick around with much that is going to end up as a YE hit contender aside from "Break My Soul."

At least Renaissance will serve its purpose and freshen up the charts a bit. Can’t say the same about Honestly Nevermind and the Luke Combs album, which barely made a dent on the charts.

I swear if this gets Khaled another #1… at least Lil Baby can actually get his first chart topper this time.

It’s tiring. Isn't #11 (+76) on the Spotify US daily chart and #114 (+48) on AM US a sign that it could potentially re-enter this week or the next? Blank Space (TV) is so going #1 on the Hot 100 the week 1989 (TV) is released. (Although if Lover is any indication, then we're going to get the worst tracks from the album as the first couple of singles lol.) I'm curious to see how reputation TV will do actually. Don't Blame Me is doing great right now - it didn't peak quite as high as Enchanted when it went viral, but it's been holding at 1m+ daily for much longer. Enchanted vs Don't Blame Me global Spotify streams after going viral Week 1: 5,692,258 vs 7,221,726 Week 2: 10,489,161 vs 8,594,797 Week 3: 9,540,520 vs 9,044,852 Week 4: 8,127,964 vs 9,196,143 Week 5: 6,861,261 vs 8,933,352 Week 6: 6,405,864 vs 8,481,287 Week 7: 5,745,886 vs 8,132,206 Week 8: OUT (probably 5.0m ish) vs 8,333,301 Week 9: 5,240,404 vs 8,290,153 Week 10: 5,377,619 vs 8,165,438 Week 11: 5,340,936 Week 12: 5,406,112 Week 13: OUT Admittedly, week 2 of Enchanted's chart run was Red TV's release which may have distracted fans for a couple months. I could see Getaway Car doing quite well. Cruel Summer's performance (re-entering Spotify US Top 200), and the current spike August is experience shows that Jack Antonoff isn't the "streaming poison" some have accused him to be (at least not anymore)... And Getaway Car has generally been a big fan favorite, it just hasn't had a viral trend to boost it. It's still out-streaming all the reputation singles except LWYMMD these days though, and out-streams LWYMMD whenever she gets fanbase driven catalog boosts (ex new releases). However, unlike most of her albums, reputation isn't well known by the GP, so the exposure from the TV release could get a lot of people to discover it simultaneously. Although the album as a whole has had a mixed reception, I think the reception on Getaway Car is much more positive, and it also has the kind of subject matter that work great as a Tik Tok trend imo. Maybe Back To December could do well too, especially since the points would come from two tracks (regular + acoustic) combined into one. I agree Blank Space has a good shot too though. Love Story wasn't that far from reaching #1, and 1989 is a hit singles driven album similar to Fearless, except that 1989's recurrents have always been much better. Blank Space's recurrent Spotify streams are double what Love Story's were in the year preceding Fearless TV's release. Double Love Story TV's chart points and that's an easy #1.

The Zone by The Weeknd & Drake is gaining traction on Tiktok thanks to a few viral videos using the sound. It's not a given, but I do hope Tiktok helps in attracting peoples'attention to his older work. All we need now is a trend using Kiss Land or Pretty do you have the sound link? I don't know how to link the sound lol but this is the most viral video I could find vm.tiktok.com/ZMNqCBnmX/?k=1
