Sometimes y'all argue just to argue Also how Pulse has changed, some months ago people would still wait some time before discussing how a celebrity's death impacts the chart but now.. I thought they all took some lessons from that one weekβ¦ during that one unfortunate Christmasβ¦ but of course they didnβt.

Good for OneRepublic resurfacing!.... Just wish I didn't hate the song I agree that some of their releases in the past four years (to me) were better than this song. So it's a shame those didn't become even small hits. But, still can't help but have a good time when I listen to this song, so I'm happy it's becoming a hit for them and they can be one of those acts that span three decades of hits.

Not really, I mean it's done as a discussion not a gripe. Like asking can Kiss still Have hits off their gimmick, or can Jagger go on forever? It's all just mixed in with taking sbiut the music. Kind of like how people mix in talking about aging in Hollywood and remaining relevant there. you wouldn't do it for say anything author, they just write TIL they die, and sometimes past then but we all know in terms of music charts that everyone has expiration date. Apparently it's okay though to discuss a woman won't chart because she is now in her forties or fifties, and when they do it's a rare exception, but we can't discuss other artists apparently, just the approved pulse list. It's all fine here to talk about m5 and alevine and how he's done and not relevant, as pulse has tried to do since like 2013. But Drake, nope! It's Pulse, they've had a hate on for ID since they started. But then not surprising, Pulse hates almost anything with a twinge of rock to it. It's gotta be either rap, female, or a gay anthem. Registered: May 5, 2022 True, although isn't it fairly common for users to recreate new accounts on here? (that's what it seems like, at least from what I've gleaned).

At this point, Free Dem 5βs is probably a shoe-in to debut in the Top 25. The only thing left to figure out is how many of the other Youngboy songs debut in the Top 50.

So we can expect Free Dem 5's somewhere below #25, that's good to know.

Thereβs pretty much no chance it debuts below #25. and if YOU have been paying attention, you would see that the song is also not even present in the spotify top 200. it's also most likely gonna have very little sales and radio presence. it is absolutely not locked for top 25

People need to realize, learn and accept that the size of a hit =/= how remembered it will be. A song can be HUGE and still become forgotten and it gradually gets phased out of the public consciousness when younger/new music listeners donβt hear it either. Itβs not that difficult. Your experience =/= everyone elseβs. this Rolling Stone writer said "fuck y'all" (to our discussion) and wrote about an obscure TV movie she was in in 1990, because it was one of their favorite holiday films growing up. goes to show how different everyone's experiences can be. the only mentions of Grease and "Physical" are in the lede: very interesting read if anyone would like to check it out.

So instead of taking a small break and going back to the drawing board heβs just gonna attempt to push a 40th single to radio? Lol.
I donβt see it having a Running Up That Hill moment. That song was legit #1 on Spotify/Apple, and just actually being discovered by the vast majority of millennials and Gen Z so it worked being pushed like a new song.
Die for You has been moderately charting rather than having a crazy huge breakout and it has been charting for months at this point and many young people already know it.

This is reminding me of Zara Larsson pushing "WOW" to CHR after it charted on iTunes following the release of that Netflix movie with Sabrina Carpenter π Everyone wants to have their own Lizzo "Truth Hurts"/"Good As Hell" moment so bad.

True, although isn't it fairly common for users to recreate new accounts on here? (that's what it seems like, at least from what I've gleaned). People also read these threads without making an account - I've been reading these since 2020 but only made an account this year for instance

I don't see a problem with Die For You. He can't lose anything and I honestly don't think he expects RUTH moment. Also, I thought his only 2022 radio singles were Sacrifice and Out of Time.

My interaction with that group daily, would only include those from the very early years of the generation. I mean we could never post our own experiences around a song but that would make it a pretty boring place.

Mainly for people who insist that just because a song is someone's biggest hit, it will automatically be the most remembered forever and ever.

I say either Abel goes all in on Die For You or actually try and get Less Than Zero to be a hit with music video, performances, etc.

Maybe not on the level of some of his other big hits, especially following this string of underperformances, but I could see it doing decently.
