IMO, there should be an asterisk for Xmas songs too. I mean, Bobby Helms (Jingle Bell Rock singer) has only one top 10 song, but he reached the top 10 in 3 different decades (50s, 10s and 20s).

The only Christmas song to crack the top 10 between August 1958 and 1962 was The Chipmunk Song

Anyone else who notices anything wrong with the list, please let me know so I can make corrections. Thanks. The Jacksons charted 9 top 10s in the 70s.

Anyone else who notices anything wrong with the list, please let me know so I can make corrections. Thanks. Noticing a lot of notable artists missing from the list, including Tommy James & The Shondells with 7 top 10s in the 60s, INXS with 5 in the 80s, Genesis with 6 in the 80s, War with 7 in the 70s, Earth Wind & Fire with 6 in the 70s, One Direction with 6 in the 10s, Fleetwood Mac with 5 in the 70s, Kenny Rogers with 6 in the 80s, The Police with 6 in the 80s, Eagles with 8 in the 70s, Bobby Brown (unfortunately) with 6 in the 80s, Air Supply with 8 in the 80s....

If we consider Billboard as dealing with giant collections of database information, the difference is in the credits. The credits are what allow you to spit out information without having to remember all of the asterisks. Oh for sure, they need to be consistent on their end for their own records, but for us, I don’t think it’s incorrect to include those who aren’t credited or credited differently either.

I think a significant chunk of the Pandora streams counted as on-demand and not passive which gave it way more points.

Stonewall Jackson with 8 top 10s in the 60s? Dude had literally one top 10 and it was in 1959.

Hopefully, at least one of Usher, Britney or Xtina will join the 3 elites of 4 decade top 10s.

If one of the songs from say Thriller 40 becomes a hit when released later this year
MJ would have top 10s, 6 decades in a row, 7 if you count I Want You Back in 1969

Hopefully, at least one of Usher, Britney or Xtina will join the 3 elites of 4 decade top 10s. I fully expect Britney to get at least one new top 10 entry once she starts putting out music again, it'll be a big deal considering everything she's been through since her last album
