It probably means Billboard’s probably going to weigh down radio’s impact by the time the Mediabase takeover is complete in December, due to the higher numbers.

Between K/DA, STAR WALKIN', and Everything Goes On, whoever is curating the music for League of Legends deserves big praise.

Tried listening to some of the projects released tonight. So far at the top of my list is Joshua Bassett's EP, the songs are actually very good. 'Unholy' is a questionable song. I loved Sam Smith's verses and the choir-like backing vocals but everything else feels so out of place like the lack of bridge or an outro + Kim's verse was mediocre. Also, Lil Baby's song for the World Cup ('The World Is Yours To Take') is not bad, it’s just decent— like most Lil Baby songs nowadays.

I just wanna it's cool that there is a mainstream adjacent trans act in pop music who could big, especially since most trans artists like Arca, Dorian Electra, and others tend to make experimental music that would never get any radio support. And I absolutely support more diversity in the mainstream scene, especially for LGBT artists.

That said I hope Unholy doesn't become a hit because it is without a doubt, one of the WORST things I've heard all year. Just absolutely retched and between this, Slut Pop, and her useless RUTH cover, Kim is just squandering all her good will.

It's been quite viral on TikTok for a few weeks before it's release. It also debuted on global Spotify #15 today with about 6 hours of streaming which is insane for the acts involved.

The thing is, I know there's hype now, but that doesn't mean that it's not gonna be just a flash in the pan thing instead of an actual hit. People are over here acting like it's gonna be one of the biggest hits of 2023, whereas I think it's gonna debut high and then just tank, therefore not becoming a hit.

Star Walkin’ is already getting quite a bit of radio traction, which could entail a decent debut if it does well elsewhere.

I like the song. Not as good as the Montero singles imo, but hopefully it does well. I also listened to Mike Posner’s new single. I doubt it’ll do anything but it’s nice.
