Last Night needs to hold onto enough of it’s streaming to stay while being able to close the still enormous radio gap between it Flowers. Flowers meanwhile needs to hope Last Night loses enough of it’s streaming while keeping the radio margin between them so the streaming gain it got will be enough to push it over the top.

All I Want For Christmas Is You will get there this year (currently at 28 weeks), and Anti-Hero was pretty close (25).

It'll be difficult to achieve, but Flowers has a chance to become the 3rd song (after Shape Of You and Despacito) to spend at least 10 weeks at #1 in all four countries.

I truly think the reason the album is not performing well is because the music is not as good as the general public was hoping. I love her and Plastic Hearts is still one of my favorite albums ever but I think if she released an album with the same quality/sound as PH then she would be doing much better numbers right now. A lot of it is too polarizing, especially when none of it matches Flowers sonically.

I thought it was well established by now that the general public doesn't care about quality.

I think the music isn't performing well because "Flowers" came at the perfect time, soon after Miley's New Year's highly popular special, and same week as Shakira's "woman scorned" anthem. The song resonated, the drama and memes elevated it to the next level.

However, Miley Cyrus isn't a new artist. It didn't end up working like Olivia Rodrigo, who gained her entire massive fanbase based on "driver license" success. To me, it looks like while "Flowers" was a viral smash, it didn't earn Miley Cyrus as many new fans as some might have expected.

The album isn't flopping by any means -- Plastic Hearts debuted at #2 with 60k units. Endless Summer Vacation will likely debut at #3, but possibly with more than double that amount (115k units is the lower end of the current projection). It's scoring Miley her biggest first-week numbers since 2013's Bangerz. I'd hardly call that a disappointment.

Mark Ronson would probably the worst in this category. Runner up is Robin Thicke. But for mainstream artist, I think Talk That Talk by Rihanna.

Honestly, I never expected Miley to get above 100k ever again, so this album's a pretty big success. It was never gonna top Bangerz, but then again, 2013 was the year when her controversies were THE hot topic in popular music.

Exactly 10 days after release, Morgan's entire "One Thing At A Time" songs are within AM's Top 57 songs. His lowest songs are not falling as fast as I thought they would, which is pretty great. Probably not for awhile, it's still gaining on Urban and Hot AC even if it has peaked on Pop. And it doesn't seem like Kill Bill is gonna pass it anytime soon, the only reason it's still getting positive updates is becuase Pop and Hot AC are not done with it yet, given it has peaked on Rhythmic, Urban, and R&B. And it doesn't seem like Flowers is gonna start collapsing either, it's still gaining in every format it's in, AC in particular.
So yeah, it seems pretty unlikely Kill Bill is going #1 on radio, but if it's any consolation it's probably sticking at 3 for awhile, unless Die For You somehow gets a radio revival.
