Discount should help Cruel Summer more. I imagine Swifities are going all in this week and are strategically buying now when they have a good chance. Radio has nearly peaked and streams will drop come Labor Day so this may be the best chance for number one.

I think it's interesting on paper, but in reality not so much. Yeeah, it's fun when you have 3 songs fighting for the top spot, but there's like no way Taylor won't be #1, unless some random country song pops out again. If they're really close, Taylor's team will do something on Thursday or earlier for sure.

idk why, but this is so cringey and forced to me. I like them both and can't wait to hear the songs, but just because Barbenheimer and Miley-Shakira worked, doesn't mean this will.

Roar and Applause was a huge event but only because Katy and Gaga were the main pop girls at the time, Miley and Shakira felt genuine and real with similar stories behind them and ofc Barbie and Oppenheimer two completely different movies.

I don't know what and how much they'll achieve with this, but there'll certainly be unnecessary comparisons and hate between the fans. The better idea IMO would be if Miley released her single today with Selena in her music video and Miley in Selena's MV next Friday or something like that.

Lack of radio is what's holding the song back right now. Otherwise, it would be in the top 10 along with "Barbie World" and "Dance the Night".

Honestly, looking at Kworb, I was surprised that "What Was I Made For?" still hasn't made the top 100 in airplay. Seems like it hasn't been pushed yet.

I also don't recall Roar and Applause being announced at the same time or slated for release the same week. "Applause" leaked so Gaga dropped it a week early, or so the story of it went. Not sure how much of it was calculated.

the Selena & Miley situation looks so desperate to me, I feel embarrassed for them. let's hope the songs are good enough on their own so that we can move on from their PR campaign.
