Very good. Now all we need is song #83. The song I mentioned about the sick boy, by the way, also did make an appearance in New & Active on the AC chart.

Mark Schultz - I Have Been There
do I get a bonus by saying the two #1 hits were I Am The Way and He's My Son? ;)

You sure do, because I was trying to remember what that song from about this time in 2000 was.
Anyhoo, here are the next five.
80) To this day, this song holds the record for the longest charting song on AT20.
79) According to Michael McDonald in "Taking It To The Streets", this is where you'll find his brother.
78) Matchbox Twenty had a disappointing chart single this past fall. I thought it sounded a lot like the song at #78.
77) CS from the end of 2001. This was by a girl group (as their name implies) who had several hits throughout 2001. They tell how they love God in this one.
76) A holdover from 2000 (when it clearly made its greatest impact). It's a song that reminds us that fame and money don't necessarily mean happiness.

80) Phil Collins - You'll Be In My Heart (??) (it was on the chart for ages, it must've crossed over into 2001) 79) Michelle Branch - Everywhere

"You'll Be In My Heart" was long gone from my chart by the time 2001 started. That song only held the record for about a year and a half. The song that beat it out was another 2001 song.

78) When you say "this past fall", do you mean the fall of 2001 or the fall of 2003?
77) ZOEGirl - Here And Now
76) Britney Spears - Lucky

Very good!
Now, all we need are 80 and 78. Strangely enough, I thought those would be among the first to be guessed.

80) Lee Ann Womack - I Hope You Dance ? 78) Do you mean Bright Lights? Why was that disappointing?

80) Lee Ann Womack - I Hope You Dance ? 78) Do you mean Bright Lights? Why was that disappointing? Yes I meant Bright Lights. Disappointing in that it didn't hit the Top 10. And 80 isn't "I Hope You Dance". That just missed the record by a week, I believe. It would have broken it if not for that new 50/10 recurrent rule.

A few easier clues:
80) This song fell off the AC chart not long after "I Hope You Dance" did.
78) This song was also on the AC chart for a long period of time. It, along with song #80, were both removed from the A/C chart via the 50/10 recurrent rule.
GOOD LUCK!!

80) Matchbox Twenty - If You're Gone (?) (though #80 seems awfully low to me)

Yes, it was "If You're Gone". Remember - this listing is based solely on my Personal Top 30 charts back in 2001 and, at the time, I didn't like this song all that well. "If You're Gone" indeed broke the record on the A/C chart for longevity by spending 80 weeks on. And that was the same total for AT20, since it had spent its first four weeks below number 20. "I Hope You Dance" just missed, spending 76 weeks on (actually should have been 77, but, when AT20 was using that weird Mediabase list, it mysteriously disappeared for one week early in its chart run). If they had held off on using the weird Mediabase list for a few more weeks, Phil Collins would still hold the record. He could have spent up to 88 weeks on the AT20 chart. Well, we still have #78 to go. Is my clue helpful enough or am I gonna have to drop you another hint. Or do you want me to just tell you? Yes, those are subtle clues as to what the song is

78) Train - Drops Of Jupiter (Tell Me) ? (Although I don't see how it sounds like Bright Lights, but whatever! )

Yes it is. I see a subtle resemblance between the two songs.
Now for the next set:
75) At times, cars are doing this in a traffic jam.
74) This song is often confused with the biggest hit from a music group born on "Making The Band".
73) An inspirational country song that made a big splash on the A/C chart during 2001.
72) CS: A song from late 2001 that at first I swore was entitled "Blessed Is He Who Fears The Lord".
71) This song topped many year end Christian countdowns, by a veteran Christian artist who seems to always take his songs all the way to the top. It peaked out at number fifteen on my chart because I wasn't too crazy about it.

Wow, that was almost perfect! But no, "Crawlin'" by Linkin' Park is NOT #75. I'm talking slower than crawlin'.

Very good, Cerebro!
70) Sting had a song that got sporadic A/C radio airplay from his album "Ten Summoner's Tales". This song, although a completely different tune, happens to have the same title and was the lead-off single from this young vocal group's album that came out in late 2000.
69) Looking out on the Emerald Isle, not a cloud in the sky and warm temperatures. It's a (blank) (blank)
68) CS: Suzy Bogguss had a song in the early 1990s with this title about a daughter leaving home. This song, however, has a completely different message. This song was rather obscure, but it was on the R&R Christian AC chart at the end of 2001. It was the first #1 song of 2002 on my Personal Top 30. The singer has the same first name as Prince's darling.
67) CS: A number one Christian AC song from early March, 2001, in which the singer says that when life gets tough for her, she finds herself in the arms of the Lord.
66) The first song by this group, whose name is two words combined into one, you'll probably forget-not, but such may not be the case with this song, as it only peaked at 28 at CHR/Pop radio in early spring, 2001.
Yes, I realize I made the clues a little harder, but after most of them were tackled in no time in that last set, I figured it was time to get brutal. However, not too brutal - I'll post easier clues if need be.
GOOD LUCK!!

Insect2 was correct on all three of his guesses, but JCMF3, I'm afraid you're wrong. Even though "Call On Jesus" by Nicole C. Mullen (you were right about that) was a big hit in late 2001 on my chart, that was not the song in question. Remember - Suzy Bogguss had a huge country smash with this song in 1992, I believe. And you were on the right track with the name of the singer, but it's the actual same name of Prince's darling (well, back in 1984, anyway). We still have #67 to go, too and it was #1 in March, 2001. Just find a few CCM archive charts from that time and you should find it.

66) Soul Decision - Ooh It's Kinda Crazy I'dve guessed this one, but your clue threw me off. You asked for their first hit. This was their second. The first was "Faded" (which, certainly, made it well into the top 30). Oopsie! :)

Here are a few easier clues.
68) The end of the chorus for this song is "I'm starting over again"
67) The lady who sings this song has a Spanish sounding last name and her first name is the same as Roseanne Connor's sister (on the "Roseanne" TV show), but it's spelled much differently.
GOOD LUCK!!

Well, since it's a rather obscure hit, I'll give the artist's name: Nikki Leonte.
Now for the next set:
65) A Christian song, dedicated to everyone who's lost their luggage in Kalamazoo.
64) CS: A Christian boyband teams up with a well-known Christian singer (from a band who's had CHR/Pop hits) for a "you've got a friend" type song
63) The former lead singer of the Windy City band sings a song about a place everybody would love to live in.
62) This song, by a woman who invited you to come on over, had a very brief chart run on the CHR/Pop chart in late summer, 2001.
61) A song by a popular boyband (well, in 2001 anyway) with sort of an R&B feel to it.
GOOD LUCK!!
