Aaron has both of his guesses right, but JCMF3's guess isn't. That's right; Toni Braxton's song was from the winter of 1997. The singer I was talking about had her first major hit, which I believed topped the A/C and Hot AC charts and came close to hitting #1 on CHR/Pop. The song started climbing the chart in the spring of 1997.

Both wrong guesses, but you have the artist for #35 right.
(Which Smash Mouth hit had an air raid siren in it, BTW?)

Very good
Even though it's probably too early, here are a few easier clues for songs 34 and 31. 34) The song that had an air raid siren in it peaked near the bottom of the CHR/Pop chart in early 2001. The song in question, however, was a big Top Ten hit that summer.
31) This group's name has two words, and one of the words is the hardest substance known to man.

Very good. Now, all we need is the #34 song. What was I doing while listening to that song with the air raid siren in it?

I thought of this, but Incubus didn't have a previous hit on CHR/POP.

Oops, my bad. Incubus had a song called "Warning", but the one that charted on the CHR/Pop chart was, I believe, by Green Day. Sorry about that.
Anyway, here is the next set of clues:
30) CS: A group of women (or chiefly women, anyway) who had several songs on the chart. The title of the song - something that materalizes on what song #69 is called.
29) CS: By a group who goes by their initials. The title of the song is what God is doing to his followers.
28) This was one of the songs featured on the AT10 Spotlight of One Hit Wonders.
27) One of the top groups of the 1980s. The lead singer is suggesting what to do when in a bad relationship.
26) This song is by a singer who had ten consecutive #1 songs.
GOOD LUCK!!

Well, Aaron, with that, you're right.
"Loverboy" is probably my least favorite song by Mariah. Apparently, many other people felt the same way, since that song flopped big time!
And JCMF3 is right with two of his guesses, too, except for song #27. The group who sang it was much bigger than U2 (chartwise, that is). When not in the studio, you can probably find the lead singer of the group out on the golf course.

Very good!
25) CS: A song by a teen Christian singer - the title is very similar to a song that's doing very well on the A/C chart. Even the word that's different is a synonym of the word in the other song.
24) CS: Although this song was more of a holiday song, it's pretty much a song for all seasons, which is why it stuck around on my chart so long.
23) CS: Two words in the song title. The singer talks about many of the things she enjoys doing - including "being with you".
22) A hot summer 2001 song that many people are still burned out on.
21) One of two songs that this legendary rock group placed on my year end chart this year. The other one was a big Top Ten on the CHR/Pop chart, but this one sort of suffered "recurrent-itis" from the first song.
GOOD LUCK!!

22) A hot summer 2001 song that many people are still burned out on. Two prime candidates for that clue... I'll go with "Lady Marmalade" by the Babes (I ain't gonna call 'em skanks!). :)

Very good, guys! Those are all correct (BTW, Aaron, what was the other song?)
#25 is still unguessed. Here's an additional hint: The song that's doing well on the A/C is also charting in a different version on another R&R chart.

20) CS: by a singer who has the same last name as an unattractive talk show host, was sung at a church service back in 2001, where a baby was being baptized. The twelve year old sister of the baby sang the song and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. This affected the song's performance on my chart, as it moved 18-11 the weekend after. This singer has two songs in my Top 20, BTW.
19) CS: This song, by a group of girls, stops just as abruptly as it starts - no instrumental intro or fade-out.
18) CS: This song, from the early 2001, has the same title as a song by After 7.
17) This song fell off the R&R AC chart from #9, due to their moronic 15/-3 recurrent rule. Too bad, as it was this band's best hit ever, IMO.
16) This song was played as an extra on the second half of the AT20 Top 60 of 2000. It was a song that "just narrowly missed making the chart". I don't know how that's possible, seeing that it was only on the AT20 chart for just a few weeks. The artist (a female), on the other hand, got gypped on the AT40 year end chart when her song, a huge CHR hit, was absent from the Top 100.
GOOD LUCK!!

That's right.
Now we just need Cribbins to enter and solve the three Christian songs. I'll tell you right now that 19 and 18 are from the start of the year. 19 is by a group that have several hits on the chart on the 2001 chart. 18 is by a group whose name sound like the first name of the lead singer of an Aussie band. As for #20, remember, her last name is the same as that of an overweight, unattractive host of a talk show.

Man, you're really harping on the "unattractive" part, eh? 20) Erin O'Donnell - Hold On To Jesus ? 19)uhhhh..Point Of Grace - Begin With Me ? (I can't remember if there was intro or outro music in that one) 18) The Darins - Can't Stop ?

Well, you got 20 and 18 right, but not 19.
You can tell that it's a female group just by looking at their name.
(Sorry for offending anyone by saying that R.O. is unattractive, she just - is. IMO, that is).
