You're new...nice to meet you...I don't agree with you at all...have a nice day Didn't exactly expect to make some new friends pal but it is my opinion. I respect your opinion for what it is but mine stands as the antheisis of yours. And to inform you kindly, I'm a veteran in this game. :) Oh, pipe down, you're 23. As am I, but at least I know how insubstantial an age that is. And the word you are looking for is "antithesis". And that Idolator article is too scary to even fathom. Nickelback nightmares, no! Scarred for life.

Poor poor Oz. Nightmares of a giant snake eating itself with Chad Kroeger's face.

So he used to be flexible enough as a teenager to go down on himself and did it in exchange for beer. More power to him.
I guess I'm the only one not disturbed or disgusted by that.

The lyrics don't insult my intelligence like the other sexual ones do. And that's what this (and "Animals") have going over everyone else. I haven't heard "SIYM" yet, but I've come to think that "Animals" is one of their most well-written songs. Not only the lyrics, but the way it all flows. But alas... this song is not on AllAccess or FMQB yet. I'm not going to lock it, though; I'm just moving it.

Oh i have to....I just have to..... Believe me, I can't help but think about Clerks every time that Chad Kroeger story has been mentioned. I guess this is the first time I refrained from referencing the TV show or movie a PMB conversation brought to mind.

Compared to "Gotta Be Somebody," this is terrible.

56 38 NICKELBACK Something In Your Mo... 250 88 162 1.136
Hope it debuts on BB Mainstream Rock next week...Top 3 on active and top 10 on Alternative would be a good result for this...
The best song for rock radio in the album...Great Choice.

If this doesn't go #1 there, they can kiss ever having another #1 there goodbye.

Yes, I understand what you mean...In the inside I think less than #1 isn't good for them...but I think it's almost impossible, so top 3 wouldn't be bad... (Then I think they come from an album with 2 #1's in Mainstream Rock and that makes me feel that top 3 isn't enough) (Yes I'm crazy )

I think S.E.X and Burn It To the Ground can do really well too. Especially S.E.X. It just screams hit to me.

I think they'll follow the same pattern as last album Gotta Be Somebody = Photograph Something In Your Mouth = Animals Never Gonna Be Alone = Far Away If Today Was Your Last Day = Savin' Me Shakin' Hands = Rockstar I'd Come For You = If Everyone Cared S.E.X. = Side Of A Bullet ok, so its the end of 08 now, just like Photograph and Animals were end of 05, so by the beginning of 2011, Shakin' Hands, which is the Rockstar equivalent will be finishing up on CHR after making it there in the top 10 on its re-release after I'd Come For You goes top 10 on CHR and S.E.X. goes top 10 on Mainstream Rock

Nah... This Afternoon is their Rockstar for this era. No its Shakin' Hands, it has a catchy beat, plus its about getting rich off prostitution, perfect subject for a pop audience no matter how absurd the song is for the format

This Afternoon! This Afternoon! It would be a Country smash too. What would be more perfect for Pop than a song saying "last call you sons of b*tches"?! Oh well, maybe not.

Lol at Shakin Hands doing well at pop. That song would never catch on at CHR. This Afternoon is totally the Rockstar of this era, as crashed said. Personally I don't think they should release both ICFY and NGBA, that would be power ballad over saturation. We already have a power ballad as the first single, we don't need 3 from this era. And I will die if Burn It To the Ground and Just To Get High aren't released to rock, S.E.X. too for that matter.

I'd bet on This Afternoon. I like it more, at least. As for this song, I'm not a huge fan at all. I loved Animals, but I hate this one, it's wayy too repetitive and boring...
Gotta Be Somebody is still my favorite on the album, even after hearing the whole album. If Today Was Your Last Day probably hits me at number 2. Then This Afternoon.

Nah... This Afternoon is their Rockstar for this era. It's similar in style but while "Rockstar" is totally awful "This Afternoon" is really good" :)

It will debut on Mainstream Rock this week...
Probably on the top 30
Btw this debuted on Hot 100 two weeks ago at #96 and outpeaked "Animals" that peaked at #97...

Never Gonna Be Alone = Far Away If Today Was Your Last Day = Savin' Me Shakin' Hands = Rockstar Where was "Far Away" released before "Savin' Me"? I've seen that before but I've never gotten it. Anyway, I think "If Today" is the "Photograph" of the album (which is probably why it was originally supposed to be released first), but since it didn't turn out that way, I'll change that a bit. Also, it seems that the whole album could follow the same pattern, not just the singles. And "This Afternoon" is definitely the "Rockstar" of this era. Gotta Be Somebody = Photograph Something In Your Mouth = Animals If Today Was Your Last Day = Savin' Me Never Gonna Be Alone = Far Away This Afternoon = Rockstar I'd Come for You = If Everyone Cared Just to Get High = Side of a Bullet Burn it to the Ground = Fight for all the Wrong Reasons Next Go Round = Next Contestant Shakin' Hands = Follow You Home S.E.X. = Someone that You're with

Also, I love how he mentions his "Best Friend" giving him such great advice in "If Today Was Your Last Day," and then his "Best Friend" is also some psycho druggie in "Just to Get High."

"Someone That You're With" is too soft to be similar to "S.E.X.", which is far more like "Fight For All The Wrong Reasons" than "Burn It To The Ground", and "Shakin' Hands" is only like "Follow You Home" in that they're both harder songs. I think you tried to stretch a metaphor way too far.

"Someone that You're With" and "S.E.X." were the last ones I paired off, so I'll give you that their the least alike.
For some reason when I first heard "Shakin' Hands" I thought of "Follow You Home," and the reason is the tempo and the fact that their both harder songs, which you agreed with me on.
How is "Burn it to the Ground" not similar to "Fight for all the Wrong Reasons"? In your face songs with a strong hook.

Not to mention a slew of Hinder songs.
