The first day numbers should be released within a few hours.

According to music industry prognosticators, Drake's debut full-length studio album "Thank Me Later," which was released on Tuesday (June 15), is projected to sell in the range of 425,000 to 475,000 -- if not more -- by week's end on June 20. If it moves as much as sources think, it'll mark one of the biggest sales weeks of the year for a single album. www.billboard.com/#/news/drake-co....tory?tag=hpfeed

^As if that ever was in doubt? With many female acts underperforming as of late, why single out Ms. Aguilera. Far as I know, she's not even as into the charts game- the mega-fans, that may be another story. I guess it's standard practice for some, though, to have fun with the latest female who's not hitting a charts home run.
Drake's numbers will be great for him and the industry.

He mentions her in literally every post he can whether it relates to her or not in any way. I don't really get being that obsessed with an artist you hate (or even an artist you love for that matter) but I guess it takes all types and some people just get hung up on artists easier than others. These are excellent numbers for him-I am happy that he is doing well if the 400k plus number holds. Hell, even a lot less would be impressive. Then we should have Eminem and Miley selling great to decent in the coming weeks. The charts are actually a bit exciting now

Yes. I wonder about Miley Cyrus' album, though- "Can't Be Tamed" isn't the hit "party in the USA" was- understandably, as it's not as bubbly, carefree and light. I'd think Eminem will be good for at least 400K, though?

I think Eminem will do at least 400K maybe even higher. Maybe I am overestimating him, but this album is getting a lot more positive reactions than the last one and Em always sells tons. I cannot imagine Miley selling less than 175K and may even do more like 250K. Once again, I may be overestimating her power, but she always has solid sales if not unbelievable.

I think Miley will do 180k

He's the new face of hip-hop, he's a breath of fresh air, and he has put out consistent good songs to generate buzz.
I was expecting 500K at least, but we'll see.

I love when he always talks about how IGF is so successful, has better chart run than WBT, has more longetivity than WBT, bla bla bla. Whatever, like it or not, WBT will always be the song of the decade 00s.

Countless tracks outsold it, many songs from the 00s get more recurrent airplay, and internationally it wouldn't even be in the Top 100 hits for the decade.

I think Eminem will be in the range of 400-700k! I don't think he could sell more than 700k(i hope he does)! But i also think it will have longevity...And Drake will come in number 2 with around 250k second week!Miley isn't a problem, kids got Justin now...LOL! BTW...does iTunes sales and Amazon sales count towards overall sales or projected sales?

700k for Eminem? No.
300-400k, I would say.

chopped- iTunes and amazon count toward overall sales, and I believe HITS and Billboard take those into account when releasing their projections.

I'd say around 400-450k for Enimen. But I do agree that his albbum will have longevity. He has some huge hits on this album.

Recovery will have that extra day of sales- so HITS will have two days of sales to draw from when it posts its projections.

700k for Eminem? No. 300-400k, I would say. 300k is an extremely low estimate for him. i would say 400k-500k, but we'll see :)

THe extra day of sales was actually a smart move if the label wants to get those debut week figures up, remember the Monday it goes on sales still counts for its debut week on the Billboard 200, sales tracking weeks end on Sunday nights.
