Let me hop on this bandwagon rq. With all the K25 stuff going on, celebrating her illustrious career and such, I figured I might as well make my first countdown my favourite 40 Kylie Minogue singles of all time. Every studio album of hers is represented here by at least two songs, and with so much to choose from, it was kinda tough making this list. Hopefully you guys enjoy looking back at her iconic history as much as I do. ^____^

40. "Your Disco Needs You" from Light Years (2000)
Um, what can I say about this? What a way to get this started, lmfao. Quite possibly her gayest release ever, accompanied by one of her worst videos ever. Really, it's laughably bad. Hilarious, imo. (But it's not her worst, that one has to be "All I See".) Aside from the over-the-top campiness of it all, it's a cute song. I quite enjoy reciting the French verse with Kylie.
I'm gonna try and post two at a time until I get to the top 20, so #39 is coming very soon imo.

39. "Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi" from Kylie (1988)I still love you, je ne sais pas pourquoi imo...What kind of iconic double dose of French smash hits? This legendary assembly-line Stock/Aitken/Waterman ballad from Kylie's debut isn't exactly one for the record books, but it's so sweet and literally so relatable. I FEEL U, KYLES. I won't even mention the video, okay. Worth checking out: her performance of this song and "In Denial" (her duet with Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant), from her 2005 Showgirl tour. Will you love me anyway jw?Yay! Omg that video and song is whack as fuqqqqqqqqqq Omg, you're so rude. Tone it down a few notches, Shaniqua.

You can't deny that video is horrific. I don't mind it. The flawless song makes up for it. Even Mims of all flops manages to be flawless. <3

"Your Disco Needs You" - Like the song, but yeah no need to comment on the video ugh.
"Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi" - is one of those tracks I used to pretend not to care about it, but its grown on me with time quite a bit. It's catchy and done in usual SAW fashion. This is probably my third fav. single from Kylie.

I'm not familiar with most of Kylie's singles so I'm glad you started this list because it'll be a good opportunitny to get acquainted with her singles imo :) I love both singles so far and I'd never heard them before, they're great, especially 'Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi'; it reminds me of Madonna, especially the beat lol. 'Your Disco Needs You' is a great dance track, but I found the chorus a little underwhelming. However, the verses are great and I actually liked the video Really looking forward to the rest of the list imo

Kylie! Her music is essential listening for anyone into female Pop princesses. I love "Your Disco Needs You"! It is way too camp for some of us, but it's pure cheeky fun. The video for "The One" from X in many ways is a throwback to this one, but looks like it had a higher budget than this.

Oh!! I forgot something I wanted to post for "Your Disco Needs You": her iconic X2008 tour performance of that song. Get all the way into that high note at 3:30. Also: her performance of YDNY during the encore of her first-ever Canadian concert in Toronto on October 9, 2009, aka the greatest day of my life. ^_____^ When she looked at me at 2:39 >>>>> "Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi" - is one of those tracks I used to pretend not to care about it, but its grown on me with time quite a bit. It's a shame that one flopped so hard. I'm finna post numbers 38 and 37 as soon as I can take "Madness" by Muse off repeat, so it might be a while.

That was my first time watching "Your Disco Needs You". Is the version in the video a remix or am I just imagining it sounding different than the album version?

38. "Especially For You" (1988)OK w/e this is the real videoThis song, recorded for IRL boyfriend and Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan's debut album, was Kylie's biggest hit until "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" came along. Included on the American release of Enjoy Yourself (1989), this is another syrupy SAW ballad – one of those 'so bad it's good' songs. It's sweet, but I can't take too much of it at once, which explains the low ranking on this list. PS: God is Kylie & I am Kermit. That was my first time watching "Your Disco Needs You". Is the version in the video a remix or am I just imagining it sounding different than the album version? lmao, I didn't even realize since I rarely listen to it, but yeah. The version in the video is the Casino mix.

37. "Did It Again" from Impossible Princess (1997)
The second single from Kylie's sixth studio album is the first of two songs from Impossible Princess to feature on my list. Yes, just two – I generally prefer the album tracks to (all but one of) the singles. If this was a top 40 songs list, there would be about five or six entries from this album.
The song sees Kylie in full indie pop-rock mode, putting herself on blast: cleva gorl, think you know but you don't know much. Also, I love the video, which must have taken ages to shoot with all them multiple personalities. #teamDanceKylie

Love it, although it's not even on of my favorites from that album. Impossible Princess is my favorite Kylie album behind Body Language, and I too mostly prefer the album tracks to the singles. "Say Hey" + "Too Far" >>>>

I love 'Especially For You'. I agree with you about being too 'sweet' and maybe chessy and I'd add, but it's catchy. That performance with Kermit was hilarious lol Not really a fan of 'Did It Again' ... but hey: the video is amazing, love it as well! Oh, and I'm also #teamDanceKylie

"Especially For You" - I like cheese, but even this makes me lactose intolerant.
"Did It Again" - Love the song and the video fits the song so well. I prefer a sizable chunk of the album tracks before this as a whole from Impossible Princess, but that just goes to prove how great of an album it is.

36. "2 Hearts" from X (2007)I loved this when it came out (although I preferred "In My Arms", which leaked around the same time). It was a pretty radical departure for Kylie at the time, as it was her first release after undergoing treatment for breast cancer and everyone was expecting something amazing long the lines of CGYOOMH, "I Believe In You", etc. Her "big comeback" turned out to be a bit of a dud, and her team quickly moved on to the tried-and-true Camp Kylie with the release of "Wow". I still like the song, though it's not one of my favourites from the album. "Speakerphone" would likely rank within the top ten of this list if it were expanded to include all Kylie songs. The video is nice enough, but nothing extraordinary. Love it, although it's not even on of my favorites from that album. Impossible Princess is my favorite Kylie album behind Body Language, and I too mostly prefer the album tracks to the singles. "Say Hey" + "Too Far" >>>> So true. Those and "Limbo" are all >>>>>> everything I've posted so far combined.

35. "Hand On Your Heart" from Enjoy Yourself (1989)
I'm tired af, so I can't really be arsed to write too much for "Hand On Yr Cock". It's another SAW track, generic as shit, but I quite like it. What kind of s**tty carnival house of horrors she's prancing about in the video, I don't know.
This song is close to being my favourite single from this generally craptastic album, but another song just snuck past it to land at #34. Any guesses as to tomorrow's iconic hit?

"2 Hearts" is amazing. I have the CD single. It wasn't a favorite of mine when it was out, but I've really grown to love it with time. Second favorite of the excellent singles from that album. Should be higher on your list! Hadn't heard "Hand On Your Heart" before, it's great! *downloads* I clearly love generic SAW pop.

"2 Hearts" - I dig it, but in regards to X as a whole it's about mid pack for me. I agree too about "In My Arms" in comparison to this as well.
"Hand On Your Heart" - Sometimes I just like to block out Enjoy Yourself as never existing for shits and giggles. I think this is one of two songs as a whole that are worth anything off it honestly.

34. "Tears On My Pillow" from Enjoy Yourself (1989)Nobody cared to guess, I see how it is. This iconic song is, obviously, a cover of the Little Anthony and the Imperials classic. I love this one, but don't really listen to it too much. It's v nice for what it is imo. Released as a single in January 1990, it was a #1 hit in the UK for Kylie and used to promote her film The Delinquents. The video, with that little black dress and sex hair, kinda serves as a prelude to her "bad girl" phase which was ushered in by her next single, "Better The Devil You Know". I also loved her version of this song from her 2007 special, The Kylie Show. You should have done one for Janet, but this is cute too :) I haven't really listened to Hamida Jo Al Mana in a minute, so I'll have to get around to that. Hopefully this one remains cute enough for you in the meantime.
