"Please Stay" - One of my least favorite tracks from Light Years. It's just sort of there and not one of those songs I actively go out of my way to revisit at all. "I Should Be So Lucky"- Perfect. Anyways, this is my second fav. single from Kylie and I genuinely love it. Just gonna mentally ad block this part of what you said though in the tune of this: neanderthal SAW-era hits imo.

20. "On A Night Like This" from Light Years (2000)Top twenty! How exciting. ^___^ Kylie's Light Years 'leftover tracks' theme continued with the second single from the album. This song was previously recorded by two other artists in the year leading up to the release of the album, but Kylie's version is obviously the best. I love this song, it's nearly perfect imo. It makes me nostalgic for something that never actually happened to me, lmao. The great thing about this song is that it translates very well live. The video is nice too, very glam. Are we bowing to the Abbey Road version? ( Yes.) Oh and lol at thisbowing to this, tho

19. "The One" from X (2007)This song was released as the final worldwide single from X in mid-2008, remixed by Freemasons. The single mix adds some extra oomph to the midtempo synths and breezy vocals of the album version. I can't decide which version I love more. The video is understandably cheap, but cute. I always thought this should have been one of the first singles released from this album, as it's such an underappreciated gem.

Sorry forgot to post here for a while :'(. Anyways: Tears On My Pillow - Not really a fan of her version, but it's not that bad lol Limbo - Love it, the production is flawless. The Loco-Motion - Just amazing. If You Were With Me Now - Generic yes, but it's a very sweet song and I like the melody <3 Chocolate - Definitely hypnotizing, love her vocals on it, great song. Giving You Up - Really like it Made Of Glass - Ok, this is even better than 'Giving You Up' :O All The Lovers - Flawless, just flawless. Agree with everything you said about it <3 Spinning Around - A Kylie classic, love it, love it, love it Give Me Just A Little More Time - Not a fan What Kind Of Fool - Wow, that is great! *hits replay again* Closer - Amazing! Why does she have better B-Sides than actual singles jw? Please Stay - The latin influence makes this song for me, so good <3 I Should Be So Lucky - Love it On A Night Like This - Amazing song, love it! :O The One - The production is everything <3

18. "Red Blooded Woman" from Body Language (2003)
I know a lot of fans don't really care for "Red Tampon Woman", the second single from Body Language, but personally I love it. The R&B influence on this makes for a nice change from Kylie's usual sound. Rush-released as the 'lead single' from Body Language in the States after "Slow" underperformed, it made little impact. While I love the song for what it is, I never appreciated her pandering to the American market; her American label's choices like this and releasing "All I See" were dumb af imo.
I like the video as well, I see 'streetwalker Kylie' was the theme here. It's definitely not one of her classics, though.

17. "Wow" from X (2007)This song is definitely an overdose of the camp joy Kylie's known for, but it works. Pushed as the second single (third in Europe) from X after the underperforming "2 Hearts", it's not hard to see why Kylie's team ran to this song. While it didn't fare much better, and I won't even talk about that video (or the tragic performances), I still love the song as an example of what Kylie does better than any other pop star -- fun dance-pop that just won't leave your head. Some cool trivia on this one: "Wow" was used in promos for Desperate Housewives on ABC [1] [2], which was kinda funny. The reason the music video is labeled "alternative version" on Parlophone's YouTube page is because the original video release featured a sped-up version (with extra bleeps and bloops sprinkled in for good measure), which was not well-received at all (it's shit) thus didn't last. Oh WAIT there is one iconic performance of this song: from this year's Proms In The Park. <3

Has anyone noticed that no Fever singles and no Rhythm Of Love singles have appeared so far on my countdown? ~:) They make up half of this iconic top sixteen which begins tomorrow. By this point it was really hard for me to rank the songs as they're all so great.
From here on out every song is pop music gold imo.

16. "Come Into My World" from Fever (2001)This iconic Grammy-winning song is the first entry from Fever on my list. A light dance-pop song with elements of house and disco, "Come Into My World" was written and produced by Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis, the same duo behind the legendary "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". The two songs do sound rather similar, and the 'na na na's in this definitely recall the 'la la la's of CGYOOMH. For some reason Kylie and her team felt they needed to re-record the song for release as a single, using breathy, something's-stuck-in-her-throat vocals. (Well she does want cum in her world so) I do like the single version, but I prefer the album cut. The iconic video features Kylie clones running around a chaotic Paris suburb. It has featured on multiple "best videos of the 2000s lists" but I probably wouldn't place it in her top five videos, imo. Nevertheless, it fits the bright & peppy theme of the song wonderfully. OMG, I almost forgot about the iconic, better-than-the-original Fischerspooner mix. Also, one of my favourite Kylie performances EVER: her performance of this mix on the 2002 Top Of The Pops Awards. Kylie plays the sex kitten, leading her army of S&M robots from the future to her electroclash orgy. And we, the audience, are treated to a lesson in How To Be A Pop Star 101. This is what Lady Gaga, Britney, etc. try so hard to be and more.

15. "Put Yourself In My Place" from Kylie Minogue (1994)Oh hi it's me again. "Put Yourself In My Place" was the second single from Kylie's first album for Deconstruction Records, Kylie Minogue. A pop/R&B ballad, it incorporates a heavy drum beat and lush background instrumentation. Written and produced by Jimmy Harry, the song is about two lovers who have recently split up, and while one has moved onto someone new, the other (Kylie) is still heartbroken. Literally who can't relate? This is one of her best ballads imo, and definitely one of my favourite songs from this album. While the song was not a big hit, peaking at #11 in the UK and Australia, it is one of her most legendary releases amongst fans thanks in part to the Barbarella-inspired video. The video won an ARIA Award for Best Australian Video in 1995. omg, I was overwhelmed with work and life and stuff!! I would have posted one last night but I had too much alcohol okay.

14. "I Believe In You" from Ultimate Kylie (2004)
The lead single from Kylie's career-spanning greatest hits album, Ultimate Kylie, sees Kylie returning to disco-influenced pop after the R&B-influenced Body Language era. A love song that commands you to the dancefloor, this was definitely a defining moment in Kylie's career. And the visually stunning music video, featuring cutting-edge (for the time) effects and Kylie's sheer beauty, definitely didn't hurt.
Kylie co-wrote this song with the Scissor Sisters, who also produced the track. A worldwide hit, the song peaked at #2 in the UK, #6 in Australia and #3 on the European Hot 100.
From the simplistic yet beautiful lyrics, to the ethereal chorus, to the thumping bassline, this song is SUCH a masterpiece. The more I listen to this, the more I feel like this should be higher on my list. But I absolutely love everything above this as well, so oops.
I also love the ballad version; let's get into this performance of the song at her Toronto concert in 2009 which I had the good fortune to attend. The beauty of the lyrics is really evident here, what kind of sweet devotion imo. And those high notes! And she looked at me!! <3

Bow, this one reminds me of my concert. Seeing Kylie ride a chariot pulled by leather-bound man slaves across a stage while singing this, one can't help but feel that everything is right in the world. The ballad version is perfect though, and definitely my favorite arrangement of the song. Forever jealous that she made eye contact with you. Oh but why didn't you post the REAL video??? jw
