hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=298711Thursday, November 26, 2015 AN ADELE THANKSGIVING: 3.5M IN SIGHTAdele’s 25 continues to surge, up 25% from Tuesday. Forecasts now put the megastar’s new set at 3.5 million for her debut week—leaving prior sales records in the dust—and possibly as much as 6m for the season. The latter benchmark would mean she was more than halfway to the RTD sales on 2011’s 21, which happens to be #5 at iTunes as of this writing (25 remains at #1, of course, as does “Hello” on the singles side). Will Target alone, with its exclusive deluxe CD edition of the album, move as much as 900k this week? Hold onto your turkeys and stay tuned.

www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6777831/adele-25-more-than-3-millionAdele's '25' Sales Grow to Over 3 Million in U.S.By Keith Caulfield | November 26, 2015 11:57 AM EST Adele's 25 has now officially sold just over 3 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music. Before 25 was released, it always seemed like a sure thing that 25 would sell a million copies in its first week. But then, the question became: Could it beat Britney Spears' single-week album sales record for a female artist (Oops!…I Did It Again, with 1.32 million). After that feat seemed achievable, prognosticators started to aim much higher: Might it hit 2 million and perhaps surpass *NSYNC's thought-to-be-unbreakable record of 2.42 million (set when its No Strings Attached debuted in the week ending March 26, 2000)? It could -- and it did, two days ago. Now 25 has done the seemingly impossible: It has sold more than 3 million copies in the U.S. in less than a week -- and its first tracking week isn't even over yet. After processing the first sales reports through Nov. 25, Nielsen Music reports the set has sold just over 3 million copies in the U.S. 25 was released on Nov. 20 through XL/Columbia Records. It is Adele's third studio album. There is slightly more than one day left in the sales tracking week to be tabulated (as it ends at the close of business on Thursday, Nov. 26). How high will 25 go? Stay tuned. Billboard is scheduled to report 25's debut week sales on Sunday, Nov. 29, once Nielsen has finished processing its weekly data.

I am assuming "close of business on Thursday" is 11:59pm tonight? A lot of retailers will be opening this evening for early Black Friday sales, so maybe she can squeeze in one last shot of sales.

^that wasn't very nice thing to say. No need to downplay other artists' success because Adele is a phenomenon. We're talking about the girl who admitted to crying and getting momentarily depressed because she lost AOTY to Daft Punk (even though she had already won the award). The girl who said "it was universally agreed upon that the songwriting was great" when talking about Red. The girl who has been a multi platinum selling artist since her teens and a millionaire all her life, who keeps a harem of lesser celebrities to bolster her own, who was so sure of her position as #1 in the industry and relished in it. Of course it's eating her alive that Adele has swiftly swept in and demonstrated how meaningless her success is in comparison.

This is mind-blowing. I never thought we would see a star of this magnitude again.

Any stocking issues for physical? I know they shipped 3.6MM - obviously that's a lot but we know distribution/sales vary greatly by location and retailer. I ask because I had to make a late-night Wal-Mart run late last night and there wasn't a single copy of '25' in stock. I'm curious how restocking will work here - especially with the big holiday weekend starting in a couple of hours. The album has blown away even the highest conceivable expectations.
On a side note: I do believe the Friday release date benefitted '25' in certain respects - it still would have been massive but I wonder if the momentum for the physical would've been a little tempered starting on Tueaday (or likely Monday) versus weekend start before holiday travel, grocery shopping etc. Plus all the massive media attention it has received daily as records are falling.
I thought Taylor was pretty much setting the upper peaks of album sales so this has been an exciting week with the daily record shattering and continual raising of the sales projections.

Every time, I come into this thread, my jaw drops. I wonder what percentage of albums sold this week have been the 25 album? One week and she doubles what any other album has done all year. And none of it counts for Billboard's year-end issue

This is mind-blowing. I never thought we would see a star of this magnitude again. I'd argue we've never seen anyone of this magnitude before! I know we have dozens of icons (Elvis, Michael, Whitney, Madonna, Mariah, Garth, Dolly, Shania), etc, but none of them ever posted numbers like this in their first week! I know we're in different times with social media and all, but I think in due time Adele will easily be lumped in with all those icons I listed before. I'm just happy to be around to see it unfold!

I'm going to go with 3.45 million. She just keeps shattering expectations! I originally said 3.2 but looks like she will blast by that.

^Whether he's joking or not, he has a right to express his opinion here just like you do. Let's not take away from Adele's phenomenal week, this is not about Taylor Swift anyway.

^Whether he's joking or not, he has a right to express his opinion here just like you do. Let's not take away from Adele's phenomenal week, this is not about Taylor Swift anyway. His initial comment wasn't an opinion. An opinion is: "I like this album, I think it's very good". Making comments about someone likely going on suicide watch due to the success of another person isn't an opinion, it's a shady trolling comment.

A historic week is about 30 minutes from closing. Can't wait to see the final SALES totals! It will be a long time before we see a week like this again! (I won't even go with 'we'll never see...." because I doubt any of us really thought an album could beat NSA's record in this environment, so you never know.) Oh, almost forgot, Congrats ADELE not only on the record, but also for making music on your terms.

We did some math, and BB's assuming there are 4 million other albums sold this week besides 25. So with 3.5 million 25 would have 46.7% of the albums sold this week. 25 would have to reach 4 million to get 50%, and I don't think that happened.

Thanks for including CITW! Me doing so caused confusion is ATRL yesterday. I'm saying 25 will sell 3.5 million this week, and 1.25-1.5 million next week. Then she should stay between 500-800k until Christmas gets close, when she'll get back up to 800k-1 million the week before Christmas and 1-1.2 mil the week of Christmas. Both of these weeks are full tracking weeks this year. The week leading up to New Years will be 650-900k, and then the week after New Years will probably be the first week 25 falls below 500k. Hooooo girl, you gonna be mighty disappointed. Well, I'm a guy for one. Second, I think Adele will get 3.5 million this week (that's mow the prediction), 1.25 million next week, and not drop below 500,000 until after New Years. She should get a boost right around Christmas that gets her another week close to 1 million. My estimates above may be too high, but I still think she can double her first week numbers by the end of 2015.

Eminem’s famous hip-hop/sacrifice/Illuminati song, 25 to life.
It’s like a prison sentence, 25 years, or the number 25 itself.
December 25 is Horus/Lucifer’s birthday. That is why there are so many sacrifices on this day.
The Sum of the numbers 2 and 5 equal to 7. On June 25th, 2009, there were 3 celebrity deaths. Writing these numbers out as digits gives us (2+5)(2+5)(2+5)=777.
777 is part of the 11:11 phenomena and as we have already seen, the number 11 was key to the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center.
