Really hoping SuBo pulls it out. Neither of the other 2 albums deserve to be #1. And about Ciara -- she's once again selling more albums than the quality justifies -- good for her!

The only place I see people still caring about Ciara after all these years...is the Internet.

The album that sells the most copies in a week deserves to be No. 1. :)

Billboard also spills the tea:
Jackson, Boyle, Swift Battling For No. 1 On Next Week's Chart
December 15, 2010 12:00 EST
By Keith Caulfield
The No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week is seemingly up for grabs, as three albums are possibly vying for the penthouse.
Michael Jackson's new posthumous "Michael" set may move around 200,000 to 225,000 by week's end on Dec. 19, according to industry sources. But, Susan Boyle's current No. 1, "The Gift," could also sell around as many copies (if not more), as could Taylor Swift's former chart-topper "Speak Now."
Jackson's last release, the "This Is It" compilation soundtrack, started at No. 1 a little over a year ago with 373,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. However, it's difficult to compare the sales fortunes of "Michael" to "This Is It" because they are such different projects. The former is a much-discussed assemblage of new recordings coming nearly a year-and-a-half after his death. On the flip side, "This Is It" was essentially a greatest hits collection, released in conjunction with the popular concert documentary film.
Next week's second-biggest debut will probably come from R. Kelly's "Love Letter," which is aiming for a start around 160,000. That should be enough to secure the R&B icon his 13th top 10 album. A year ago, he arrived at No. 4 with "Untitled," shifting 114,000.
Diddy Dirty Money's "Last Train to Paris" might roll into the top 15 with possibly 60,000 to 70,000. Diddy last took a bow on the list in 2006 when his "Press Play" entered at No. 1 with 170,000.
Other new albums on tap for a significant debut next week include 2010 "American Idol" runner-up Crystal Bowersox's "Farmer's Daughter" (45,000 to 50,000), Tank's "Now Or Never" (perhaps 40,000 to 45,000) and Ciara's "Basic Instinct" (30,000 to 40,000). For you "Idol"-watchers, Bowersox's first-week will likely exceed that of Lee DeWyze, the fellow she lost to. His "Live It Up" debut started with 39,000 at No. 19 a few weeks ago. (DeWyze's set earned the smallest start for an "Idol" champ's first post-show album.)

Neither of the other 2 albums deserve to be #1. Not deserving/good enough for #1 is the most ridiculous comment ever, why you think it's your taste that should be reflected in the charts? MJ numbers are disappointing only in the sense of people not buying "anything that has MJ written on it" and that it's the holiday season, but without a hit single it's not that surprising, and the Breaking News drama might have put off a lot of people. Way too many disappointments this year already though, there were only a handful of debuts that reached expectations...

Word.... leave it to Michael's family to fuck up everything for him, even after death. They should just have kept their mouths shut.

I'm tired of the disappointing sales debate. We had that with Susan and she's still holding that #1 position 3 weeks after.
Michael's numbers are nothing spectacular but I'm more interested to see how it will perform the upcoming weeks. Hope he gets #1 though. It would be 9 years in the making I believe

Before last year, HITS usually took off from its charts for 2 weeks, but last year it was New Year's Eve week, and there was a chart dated 12/21. So, we'll know when we see it.

At this point, it’s too close to call for #1 next week as Taylor Swift and Susan Boyle battle it out for the final chart before the holidays. However things play out over the weekend, it looks pretty certain that Sony Music will have five in the Top 6 and six in the Top 10. Here's how it's shaping up headed into the weekend. Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 225-250k Susan Boyle (Columbia) 225-250k *Michael Jackson (Epic) 210-225k Jackie Evancho (Columbia) 210-225k *R. Kelly (Jive/JLG) 155-170k Glee Cast Christmas (Columbia) 155-170k Kid Rock (Atlantic) 90-100k Glee Cast Vol. 4 (Columbia) 80-90k Justin Bieber My Worlds Acoustic (Island/IDJ) 70-80k Nicki Minaj (YM/Cash Money/Universal Motown) 70-80k Mariah Carey (Island/IDJ) 70-80k Justin Bieber My World 2.0 (Island/IDJ) 65-75K Katy Perry (Capitol/EMI) 65-75k Rihanna (Def Jam/IDJ) 60-70k Black Eyed Peas (Interscope) 60-70k *Diddy Dirty Money (Bad Boy) 60-70k * Debuts www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgiOuch Ci Error. And I'm glad Mariah has a rise, even though I wish it was 90-100Kish.

I don't see the Michael Jackson album holding up well after the holidays.
Susan and Taylor are killing the charts week after week!

damn kanye! his people need to send "all of the lights" to radio (chr/pop especially) asap. forget "monster", it's good but won't sell units. it always blows my mind how incompetent labels can be. and as for ciara, her label needs to release the one with usher to pop asap as well. very radio friendly, and even if it doesn't translate into a lot of album sales it certainly has big digital potential.

Also, great for R. Kelly. It's a good album that seems to acknowledge that his fan base has grown up, which I think made it easier to relate to than his last work.

So Taylor might cross the 2.6 million mark this week. I wonder, if by some stretch, she'll reach 3 million in the next two weeks.

Looks like we'll have 4 200k+ sellers and 6/7 100k+ sellers. :)
We'll likely have a second 100k+ top 10 week (the first being the Black Friday week) during the week of Christmas.

BEP to have an increase Hopefully it stays like that... I'm quite surprised R. Kelly is selling that much, I didn't expect it. Nicki selling more than Kanye for the second week Although Kanye needs a hit single soon. All of those of us who bought the album in the last month were his real fans, now the real challenge starts for him.

I'm kinda surprised at music sales during this holiday season. I was expecting the top few albums to be selling 300-400K, maybe even up to 500K. But instead it's just been around 200K.

Holy s**t...how is jBiebs pulling 70-80k with no single? It's Justin Bieber. He can simply record a spoken album, talk about random stuff, and all the girls will go out and buy it ;)

Get it Nicki! Didn't Kanye say he's not worried about the media? So maybe he doesn't care how this album goes.

Sales don't look too good to me. They look terrible actually. This is the 2nd biggest week of the year? that being said, go Katy!!! Cross that 800k.

No, maybe his record label shouldn't have resorted to petty, disgusting schemes to make money off his life (and death). There's been several people outside of his family to come forward and state that Jackson was not pleased with new material leaking before it was finished, and obviously this material is not finished. He would not want this in the marketplace. This is nothing but a ploy to get money from his fans with absolutely no respect to the artist's wishes.

Crystal sells more than Lee! A proof that we need a female American idol again, not a white guy with guitar.
