How many HotAC stations have added LNM? How many HotAC stations report to Mediabase? Thanks. It's being played on (not necessarily added by) 94 out of 95 stations on the panel.

LOL. There's really NOTHING to worry about. +300 is still huge by HAC standards. How could it possibly sustain +1000 bullets at HAC while it's already in the Top 10? What happened was PDs rushed it into high rotation and it's already there in week 3, but they can only increase it by so much when it's already so close to the top. The "does this have a chance still" was sarcastic, but I am suprised that it shaved off about 300 on its bullet since last week...I was expecting a more gradual slow down, and I thought it would catch "BOBD" quicker. I'm glad it's not though. Both are great, and both deserve their dues.

As of Sunday morning, LNM is 3 spins ahead of Maroon5 and is #4. I think LNM will eventually make #1 once Rob gets out to radio stations and starts promoting the album. However, I do think BOBD will remain #1 for several more weeks. I'll say 6. Then Rob for a few weeks who will probably be replaced by Kelly Clarkson.

I highly doubt Green Day will only spend 7 weeks @ #1 on HAC radio. I wouldn't be surprised if that song eclipses 3900 spins. And I also doubt that Kelly Clarkson will score #1 with Since U Been Gone on HAC.

Lonely No More will definitely cut what I thought would be easily a 15-16 week # 1 reign from Green Day's BOBD and LNM should be on its way for a very long reign at # 1.

no question about it, Hot AC song of Spring Quarter.
2005- Hot AC Artist of the year- Rob Thomas
look for a surge in Matchbox Twenty recurrent play as well. I actually heard Mad Season and Back 2 Good today.

I actually heard Mad Season and Back 2 Good today. "Back 2 Good" is played quite a lot here all the time. "Mad Season", however, that is something. That wasn't a real big hit as it is. It still went Top Five here, but it fell off the chart before "If You're Gone" did and only select Hot AC stations still play it in a medium rotation. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

2005- Hot AC Artist of the year- Rob Thomas If I absolutely had to make a decision right now, I would probably vote for Green Day as the HAC artist of 2005. I can see Lonely No More possibly topping the HAC chart but falling more quickly than other MB20 songs and probably faster than Green Day will fall. Plus, once Green Day releases Wake Me Up..., HAC radio will probably jump all over that, whereas I am unsure about Rob's second release. Overall, comments like this are really way too premature. You're basing this on less than one month of airplay and an album that is not even out. It really is amazing to me that people on these boards are so jaded by this song. Yes, I agree - I love the song and I think it deserves to be a big smash hit. But, to be calling Rob Thomas artist of the year and saying this will be the #1 single of the year, in March? Come on people...

It's still February. Yeah and for any other artist it would be a long shot, but c'mon this guy is Hot AC Radio!! Who's topped the charts, spent more weeks on top the charts, had bigger hits on the chart than Rob!! His track record is pretty good. I mean he knows how to have the biggest hit of the year or darn close "Bent", "If You're Gone", "Unwell", "Smooth", "Bright Lights" was big also!! It's not that hard to imagine Rob pulling 2 smashes this year off the cd and being artist of the year. And you know "Lonely No more" will spend forever & a day at #1 once it gets there........ I'd say it's a long shot to bet against him on this format. I've heard so many dj's & pd's say Rob is the bread & butter of Hot Ac radio!!!!!!

I heard LNM for the first time on my HotAC station today. This is a good sign as this small town station doesn't add anything unless it's a hit. They only played Disease a few times.

It's going to be Rob, Anna, and Green Day in the Top 3 for a while once Spring rolls around.

I have a feeling that song will peeter out in the lower teens or maybe the lower reaches of the top 10. The key to the top 5 on HAC radio, IMO is: 1) A smash pop hit that also has HAC appeal, whether it be AC-leaning or by a pop rock act; and/or 2) A HAC core artist. When was the last time a debut single that didn't perform well pop made the top 3 on HAC? I really can't think of any...

Just wondering if you know anyone who absolutely hates Rob Thomas. He is such a staple of HOT AC for years now and seems to always put out quality music. Just curious if there is a segment of music lovers who just hate this guy and for what reason. His music, his personality, etc. etc.?

I think this is going to have a long stay at #1! Well, right now I am worried that it may never get to #1 on HAC. It's about 1000 spins behind Green Day right now, and the bullet is +97! :o Sunday Morning is about 50 spins away with that much more also in gains over Lonely No More. If Rob Thomas doesn't pick up soon, he may never get to #1 on HAC. And pop radio... that's a whole other can of worms.

It looks like Kelly Clarkson could push this single in the mud if it doesn't pick up.
I'm shocked it's even struggling with "Sunday Morning" right now.

i can't help but think atlantic has slowed down promotion on this single to get closer to cd release date. I mean theres no video,no interviews,no tv performances. I mean unless you listen to the radio alot you don't even know this yet and still it's #3 and #14 respectfully. I do believe this will get one more big bullet for a while and it will capture #1.

You know, I have a question. Did you hear Rob on NY & Florida radio last Thursday and Friday? On both they played his other new song "This is How a Heart Breaks". Does anyone else think it is kind of odd that Rob is out promoting his new CD so early before its release date. AND actually playing what could be the 2nd single release on select radio stations before the album is even released. Rob did say on the NY station that he was out on radio last week because radio has just embraced LNM so quickly. Is this unprecendented or can you remember other such instances? The playing of the other song just seems so unusual to me.
