The title should read "Billboard Hot 100: 06/01/2013 - Mariah's may-or-may-not-crack-into-the-top-20 week"

Yay Justin! Suit & Tie only got one day at the top. I'm glad Mirrors will get to stay there for a little bit.

For a comparison- for the 5/25 chart, the Mediabase total for Mimi/Miguel was 43.847m, while the BDS total was 31m. For the prior week, Mediabase was 37.05m, and BDS was 31m.
Is "Right Now" Rihanna's next pop-radio release?

I think the Mimi & JLO songs are showing CC deals don't make a hit at the end of the day it's up to the song, no?

I think the Mimi & JLO songs are showing CC deals don't make a hit at the end of the day it's up to the song, no? Ummm... I don't know if you've noticed but #Beautiful is doing really well after the CC deal (it is an amazing song) because people like it and its gained by 2mil in airplay the past 3 days... It's up to #8 on iTunes. Live It Up is doing OK I guess (#20 something on iTunes and 1mil + airplay). CC deals do help greatly in helping people discover the song and are often the start of big hits.

"The Way" will be top 20 in airplay tomorrow. :O It's incredible how well it's doing, the first time I heard it I thought this song with it's dated and basic production would go nowhere...never thinking it would have been an actual hit on the chart and iTunes.

I'm so here for seeing acts like Emeli Sande, Mariah Carey, Miguel and a 80's inspired track like Fine China doing so well. #music

When Daft Punk missed debuting in the top ten due to the mid-week release, I thought they'd blown their shot at it. But the consistent updates for Get Lucky are really inspiring, so glad it's turning into a legitimate crossover hit (and easily the biggest of their career).
I still think it's a shame they weren't given proper credit on Kanye West's "Stronger."

Oh I knew, Daft Punk literally just ripped their song off and yet they got no credit. I don't know whether they asked not to be credited or if they got screwed, but it's literally THEIR song with Kanye rapping on it. Kinda like how Etta James was never credited for Flo Rida's "Good Feeling". Did her team say she didn't want to be credited or was she screwed? What artist WOULDN'T want to be featured on a major hit, especially a smaller act who rarely gets radio exposure today. Hell, Enya even got credited on that Mario song in the early 2000's and all they did was rip off a small soundbyte of her humming from one of her other songs.

Actually, quite a few places do have it listed as Kanye West - Stronger f/Daft Punk. Though, it's a sample, so I see the reasoning in not giving them full credit other than just saying it's a sample.

I think Billboard does not credit Daft Punk. Perhaps other countries have it differently.
I think they were very cooperative with the "sample," it's hard to say since they wear helmets all the time but I believe they participated in the video? Just frustrating that a guest rapper with a few lines on a song is more likely to get credit for a song's success than someone who actually wrote 95% of the musical elements.

Daft Punk were very cooperative in the process of Stronger. They allowed the actors who played them in one of their musical dramas to play their roles in the video (they wanted to make it but they couldn't due to scheduling). They performed together at the Grammys in 2008. They produced 2 tracks on his current album. The argument can go on and on about why artists aren't featured when their vocals or work is sampled. They didn't ask for featuring credit on Busta Rhymes Touch It even though it heavily used the vocals from Technologic.
