Chart Notes:- Two brothers appear in the top five together as DNCE jumps up four to move to #4 while Nick Jonas & Tove Lo hold steady at #5.
- The Chainsmokers and Daya both earn their 2nd top ten. Both of them coincidentally peaked within the top ten the week of Feb. 1st with Roses topping out at #10, and HIde Away peaking at #4
- Trust In Me isn't the first Disney song remake to chart - that honor goes to "When I See an ELephant Fly" from Josh Gracin way back in 2005. It's not the first ScarJo song to debut either - it's her second as she peaked at #6 with "Relator" dueting with Mike Yorn in November of 2009.

What a mixed bag this week in 2004 was - Josh Gracin became the 2nd American Idol to top my chart after Kelly. He would go one to have three more #1s (Kelly wouldn't surpass him until 2014.) Love Song made its first appearance on my chart and then would chart again with Adele's version in 2012. And then you have some awesome dance hits in Jamelia and Sarah Connor! Chart Notes:- Prince makes his third and saddest appearance on the chart this week as When Doves Cry debuts at #4. He previously hit #2 twice, first with Cinnamon Girl in 2004, and then with the instrumental Disco Jellyfish in 2009 (see below).
- It's my son's birthday today, so what better to have at #1 than (Birthday) Cake By the Ocean. Seriously, he loves this song, and it's gotten a lot of non-MJ play at home.
- Tove Lo has a second entry on the top 20 this week with the debut of Say It.

In 2009, between MJ's death and the release of several albums/songs by 80s acts, I thought for my birthday that year it would be fun to have an all-80s top five. Since this chart, of course, sadly, Whitney and Prince are now gone as is one of the Beastie Boys. At least Madonna's still going strong. :( This chart represents the last appearance of Whitney, Prince, and the Beastie Boys before their deaths. It is also MJ's only appearance on my chart. Chart Notes:- After several weeks placing bridesmaid to three different songs, Ariana finally moves to #1. This is her fourth #1 overall, following Problem, Bang Bang, and Santa Tell Me. Of her eight top tens, seven have made the top two.
- It's a quiet chart week as far as movement goes with the biggest jump going to Coldplay as they take a three point hop closer to the top ten.
- It's a good week for woman whose names end with "a." There are three debuts near the bottom of the chart - Zedd and Kesha come out strong with True Colors, which makes a healthy debut at #16. Sia and Dua Lipa also make an appearance. This is Sia's first appearance since she hit #1 early last year with "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile"

Ah, 10 years ago. I was just about to start my internship, which translated to a full time job at the end of summer and I've been here ever since. This is an unusual chart in that two male country singers were in the top five - a rarity - and I'm not sure that it's happened since. Josh Gracin was at #1 with what his fourth and final trip to the top. He remains the country artists with the most #1s/top 10s. Tim McGraw would have to wait another year to get his first #1. Rihanna looked poised to go to #1 for the first time, but ended up being stymied by a song that moved into the top ten that week - Crazy by Gnarls Barkley was sitting at #8, and would beat Rihanna to the top, holding #1 for 8 weeks. Yay Ariana!!! (If only she could've also reached #1 on my chart, but at least ITAPII got another week at #1 by blocking her. So I guess it's not that bad :) ) Anyways, I'm glad to see Close, Never Forget You, Faded, and Say It gaining! :) Sad to see Don't Let Me Down and ITAPII falling :( Great chart, as usual!

Not a big fan of "Dangerous Woman," but it's nice to see Ariana get another #1. Love that "No" is Top 10 now and seeing the new Zedd/Kesha collab debuting is great.

Chart Notes:Fancy Dua Lipa makes the biggest chart move in nearly a year as she bolts 19-6. Also entering the top ten for the first time ever is Alan Walker with "Faded". - "When Doves Cry" falls off the chart, the biggest plunge since Beyonce's "Partition" also fell off the chart from #8.
- Two debuts by frequent visitors to the chart. Drake's most recent visit was with "Hotline Bling" last fall. Calvin Harris hasn't been on the chart since "Blame" which peaked in December of 2014.

Amy WInehouse may have been sitting at #2 9 years ago, but she took a slow descent to capture the year-end #1 for 2007. Ozomatli would top the chart the following week. Ozomatli would only hit the chart one more time, but it was a doozy - "Love and Hope," an Obama remix in wake of his 2008 election win, which topped the chart for seven weeks. Chart Notes:Fancy Dua Lipa makes short work of the top 20, moving up to #1 just two weeks after debuting on the chart. - Just two weeks ago, Hymn for the Weekend had the biggest jump, moving only three positions. This week, seven songs move up at least that much, with Sia the beneficiary of the biggest jump, up six positions.
- ScarJo jumps into the top 5. This is her second top ten hit. She is the first actress to hit the top five since Idina Menzel hit #3 With What are You Doing New Year's Eve in week 1 of 2015. Only two other actors have had two top ten hits - Will Smith and Jennifer Hudson, though they were both known for their music first.

Wow, I don't think I listen to any of these songs anymore - maybe an occasional listen to Handlebars, which did make the top ten for 2008. I'm not sure what possessed me to debut the Puppini Sisters so high, though they moved down the chart quickly after this. Looks like 2008 was a good year for alt rock on my chart.
