"Eres Mi Verdad" debuts! Nice. :) Guess "Firestone" can only down from here huh? It had a nice run though.
Love that "Truffle Butter" is kicking ass! But hopefully LMLYD can get in there next.
RIP Antonique - good run though!

for popstop: Chart notes: - "Truffle Butter" becomes the first song since "Problem" to spend five weeks at #1
- After weeks of being on the bubble, "Shut Up and Dance" finally breaks into the chart.
- With "Heartbreak Song," Kelly has had 17 songs hit the top 5. That ties her with Eminem for 2nd most top 5 songs. BeyoncΓ© leads with 18 top 5s. (If we add Destiny's Child songs, that puts her at 21.)
This week back in 2008: Looks like I was making up my own singles this year - Eric Hutchinson wouldn't be releasing his album for two more months, so I'm not sure how my friend scored a copy before that, but this melancholy song was the one that would bring up my best karaoke moments in the car. Eric Hutchinson had two more songs from that album hit the top 10, but hasn't appeared since. And then there's double Sia! Academia was on its way down, having peaked at #2, and The Girl You Lost to Cocaine was at its peak position. I don't think either of these were ever official singles. I had never heard of Sia before this album ("Some People Have Real Problems"). Sia has gone on to hit the top 10 five more times since then, including her first #1 - this year's "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile."

You can tell popstop that The Girl You Lost To Cocaine by Sia was an official single. It also made my chart too. #11 smash!

Oh my gosh I was so confused for a minute with Josh posting.
Ok, I really hope LMLYD doesn't get blocked although I do love me some "Truffle Butter" but hopefully Ellie can get in there soon.
So glad to see "Shut Up and Dance" debut! I hope it kicks ass.
"Beggin for Thread" just barely hanging in there this week.
Also, perfect #1 in 2008! Eric Hutchinson is one of my favorites!

Chart notes: - Ellie Goulding notches her second #1 on the chart. Lights hit #1 during the summer of 2012.
- Jason Derulo makes his 3rd dent in the chart, after last year's Trumpets and Talk Dirty.
- Kenny Chesney notches his 2nd top ten. His only other trip was seven years ago with "Beer in Mexico."
EDIT: I just noticed I mistitled Jason's song. Oops. Must have had the Ramones in my head. This week back in 2009: Spoiler alert - Lady Gaga owns the next couple of retro charts. She was already on her third top ten when Poker Face hit #1. She first hit the top 10 with "Starstruckk" in 2008. That song featured Flo Rida, who was sitting at #2 this week. There's a song that burned out quickly Carrie Underwood has had little success on my chart, and as bizarre as it is, Home Sweet Home is her highest charting song. It was peaking this week at #4. Her only other top ten came later that year with Cowboy Casanova peaking at #10.

Yessssss Ellie! "Truffle Butter" had a nice reign atop. Is "Show Me Love" next or will Ellie reign supreme? This is a great top 3, btw.
"Shut Up and Dance" up four yes!!! Love Jason's new song - glad to see you debut it.
Also, "Kids" in 2009 debuting at #5. Slay!

Chart notes: - Pretty gridlocked chart this week. How long has it been since the top 5 didn't change? Stay tuned...
- 3 spots is a big enough jump to be the biggest as Rihanna appears in the top 10 for the 18th time, tying her with Kelly Clarkson and Lady Gaga for 3rd most top tens. "Towards the Sun" is the 7th top ten to come from an animated movie. The last to do so hit #1 last January - "Let It Go" from Frozen.
- Just realized all the songs that debuted in 2014 are now off the chart. Beggin' For Thread and Take Your Time both debuted in NOVEMBER, and with lengthy runs should figure into the year end charts.
By coincidence, it was 2010's turn to come up in the retro selection, which is significant because... Telephone led an equally gridlocked chart - even more gridlocked as the top 6 songs did not change - one of only two times that ever happened. Until this week, it was the last time the top five were frozen. This was the 5th #1 for both Gaga and Beyonce. Since then, Gaga has hit #1 twice (Born This Way and ScheiΓe) and Beyonce hit #1 once (Drunk In Love)

Chart notes: - Juntos moves to #1, becoming the fifth Spanish song to do so. Three of those have been with Juanes, who hit #1 in 2005 with "La Camisa Negra," and in 2007 with "Me Enamora/" Me Enamora was the last Spanish song to hit #1. The other two are "Asereje (The Ketchup Song)" by Las Ketchup and "Casa" by Natalia y la Forquetina.
- You can blame Pulse's March Madness for the three new debuts. We started with 160 songs chosen by 20 Pulse people, and about 100 of those have been eliminated. The three debuts are among my favorite songs I've heard in the tournament. There may still be yet more to come :)
- Juntos is the 3rd song from a Disney movie to top the chart. "Let It Go" did so last year, and "Will the Sun Ever Shine Again?" from Home on the Range did so in 2004. Juntos is from Macfarland USA and is non-animated.
For retro time, 2011 is up.. - ...and how flawless it is! Look at all those divas. :'( Gaga was still going strong at #1, making three years in a row she was #1 during this week.
- Adele had just debuted a couple weeks earlier at #3, and she wouldn't leave the top three for the next year and a half (with 6 different songs). I was obsessed.
- Of the five longest runs at #1 on my chart, two of them were on this chart - Born This Way is 5th, and RITD is tied for 2nd. Rihanna snuck in a week at #1 in between their reigns.
