Work From Home must not reach the Top 10 There is a small chance ITAPII may hold off WFH this week..... but ultimately WFH will definitely enter Top-10.

I think PILLOWTALK could possibly get to #6 because of the album release.

It doesn't have high enough streaming and is still way behind My House in airplay. It's only ahead in sales (and not by that much, only about 40k). It's been over a week and the NO video hasn't even hit 20M views worldwide, and it is pretty far behind My House on Spotify too. I think NO will be at #5 behind both My House and Love Yourself (and Love Yourself better be behind My House already).

Is NO even available on Spotify? Why is her streaming so low if her fan demographic is mostly youngsters?

Dangerous Woman without an official video has stronger streaming than NO which has an "epic" one

Dangerous Woman without an official video has stronger streaming than NO which has an " epic" one ehh...I would disagree. I found the NO video to be kinda lame and boring. There just wasn't much to it. But then again I didn't think the AATB video was all that interesting either.

I hope 7 Years goes to #1 because I kind of like this non-American streak we've got going and I'd like it to continue with a 10th song.
Also, if it is #1 for the week ending April 30, it will be #1 for my son's birthday - he turns 11. :)

Oh yeah, that streak is still going on, isn't it. It would be hilarious if the charts lasted a whole year without an American getting a #1. Would be a shame for Meghan Trainor of all people to break it with such a crappy song (though still good for Meghan Trainor standards, I guess).

I like NO, but I agree it would be a shame if it did break the streak. On the other hand, I don't care about the streak THAT much to want Work to stay at #1 just for the sake of the streak lolololol

I used the word "epic" just to be sarcastic about it.. Well, "NØ" was directed by the legendary Famita Robinson, who directed the MJ videos

I think NO will be at #5 behind both My House and Love Yourself (and Love Yourself better be behind My House already). Actually, NO is getting similar number of daily views on youtube in USA as My House (500-600k). On Spotify it will be 1M lower this week.So overall it should be around 1.5M lower in streaming. On Airplay it will be maximum 25M behind (last week it was 34M behind). But on sales, it will be 40k ahead.... which is more than enough to compensate for the Airplay and streaming deficit. NO - 140-75-10.5 = 31,800 My House - 100-100-12.0 = 31,100 The gap isn't much and there is a chance NO stays behind My House, but right now I give the upper hand to NO. I know you want My House to get #3 peak (I do too)..... but unfortunately it probably won't get it. :)

I thought Meghan Trainor's audience was more soccer moms? I wouldn't be surprised if the change in sound alters her demographic a bit.
And completely anecdotally, I feel like ITAPII is having some sort of new life recently where it's reaching more people... I think it still has some life in it to climb further.
(And totally personally, I really hope "7 Years" does not hit #1... I hate this style of sentimental/nostalgic stuff.)

I recently discovered that See You Again is a MUCH BETTER song than 7 Years imo. 7 Years just doesn't have any real personality to be feeling sentimental about and it's just about him counting how old he's gonna get while figuring out which words to pronounce awkwardly. Moreover, I can hardly find a song that's this depressing and making me lose energy and good feeling and all (which SYA is, surprisingly, kind of having a real nostalgic vibe and centering around friendship and not lack of motion at all even it's supposed to be sad.) 7 Years just makes people passive and depressed as ****. I really don't think it's healthier than any of the party/sex jams. This song is made to be pure depression.

I highly doubt a song is damaging someone's mental health and if it is, they need to either change the radio station or remove that download from their music device. 7 Years and See You Again are both sentimental/nostalgic songs that almost anyone can relate to. Personally, songs that I can relate to are the ones I like the most.

Personally, songs that I can relate to are the ones I like the most. And that's why they do well, people do relate to that. I dislike both of those songs as well as other nostalgic hits like One Sweet Day. But I'm not the norm. I find the past boring. I want to explore the future and create new things rather than just remembering old. There was a great quote from Bjork once that she thought everybody should get one day a year to dwell on all the nostalgia they want and the rest of the year focus on creating something new. I love that mindset.
