What is the reason for "The Sound of Silence" being on the projections? I second that.

Why is Beyonce's "Halo" gaining on iTunes? Also, why is "Gold Digger" gaining as well? And Usher's "Yeah!"? Many songs were discounted to 0.69 Why?

I mean like why are so many songs getting discounts at the same time? Is it because of Spring Break or April Fools Day?

All catalog songs need to be $.69 or dirt cheap. Digital songs have peaked so way not get creative with sales?

Itunes must be pretty horny people for choosing that number.

It's funny how sometimes when I hit "like" my name appears at first while sometimes the second or one of the "...and 10 more" that have hit "like". Any explanations?

What is the reason for "The Sound of Silence" being on the projections? There isn't really an explanation for that other than it's just been selling well enough on its own, believe it or not.

I'm amazed how much longevity Love Yourself has had (especially in airplay!) It's very likely to be logging AT LEAST 10 weeks at no.1 on airplay chart, a feat only achieved by 4 songs THIS DECADE (We Found Love 12 weeks, Uptown Funk 12 weeks, Blurred Lines 11 weeks and Hello 11 weeks)
Is it gonna be the #1 radio song of the year?

Unless something big comes crashing through (example: A song release from a returning artist)

Itunes must be pretty horny people for choosing that number. Haha lol! :) Actually they didn't really just choose it. It was part of the agreed upon tiered pricing plan they made with the labels a few years ago: songs can be either $.69, $.99, or $1.29. Yeah but it does seem kind of random how they're suddenly discounting all of these various old songs. Even more surprising that so many people are buying them. Interesting to say, but Work could actually be in contention for Rihanna's longest-running number one. Looking at the entire top 50, there doesn't actually seem to be any contenders that can take over any time soon, if ever. Which leads me to believe the next #1 could be completely unexpected or hasn't even been released yet.

What is the reason for "The Sound of Silence" being on the projections? Disturbed performed it on some televised talk show and it shot up iTunes like crazy. It's still #15 after several days. It's not weird or random at all. Songs have always been sporadically put on sale on iTunes ever since the $0.69 price became a thing a couple of years ago. This is just the first time in a long time that sales have been largely affected by it. Probably because digital sales have dropped so much, so a discount is going to show a larger positional change than usual.

Meaning she would be already two weeks away from breaking that, so even if 7 Years/NO/ITAPII (yeah, wishful thinking on my part for that third one...) were to dethrone it in 2 weeks, it would still be her longest-running #1. Interesting to think how such a huge act like Rihanna hasn't broken 7 weeks at #1...even though I think Umbrella and LTWYL are waaaaaay better than Work, I guess I don't mind if Work gets 8 or 9 weeks to give her that breakthrough after all these years EDIT: forgot about We Found Love

We Found Love was #1 for 10 weeks. Work will match the 7 week run of Umbrella and LTWYL this week.

And my wishful thinking also wants ITAPII to hit #1 so badly. It is so deserving of the #1 spot.

Since Work From Home seems like it will be #10 this week, it just made me think about Worth It peaking at #12.
Funny how Ty Dolla $ign will be getting a top 10 hit, but Kid Ink couldn't. (Also, funny how the better song will be getting the top 10)

Thanks to Charter2000. Through last week's Hot 100. SONGS WEEK 12 Rank - Estimated Sales (m) - TITLE - Artist 01 - 1,26 - LOVE YOURSELF - Justin Bieber 02 - 1,23 - MY HOUSE - Flo Rida 03 - 1,18 - STRESSED OUT - twenty one pilots 04 - 1,13 - WORK - Rihanna 05 - 0,82 - PILLOWTALK - ZAYN 06 - 0,75 - 7 YEARS - Lukas Graham 07 - 0,74 - HELLO - Adele 08 - 0,73 - ME, MYSELF & I - G-Eazy & Bebe Rexha 09 - 0,71 - SORRY - Justin Bieber 10 - 0,69 - ONE CALL AWAY - Charlie Puth The best selling song of the year in April is around the same as Hello's debut week??? I realized sales were s**t, but this is crazy. Did anything even go 3x Platinum last year? Uptown Funk did. I can't seem to recall if Hello made it to 3000000 by the year's end or not. I think Blank Space may have also made it to 3000000. Edit: Thinking Out Loud and See You Again should have as well and maybe Take Me to Church.
