If these "discussions" seem to be regularly and near-uniformly lacking in any cerebral activity*, there's a limit to the extent that they can be considered "discussions".
*Cerebral activity may also be substituted with entertainment, but that is lacking even more.

Who cares. It takes .00000002 seconds to scroll past a post you don't want to read.

I think there's more posts that are complaining about the nonsense posts than the nonsense posts themselves at this point.

tbh I don't see how a separate thread is going to help Especially when discussing about the chart is so strongly tied to predictions (especially before the chart is released). There wouldn't be much to talk about. The problem seems mainly to be with a couple posters - could the mods not take care of this and give them warnings or ban them if necessary?

Quick question: Do we continue making predictions in this thread AND NOT ARGUE ABOUT IT, or do we use that other thread (which already has a whole page worth of no predictions) and predict there? Honestly, I find 3 different threads for the Hot 100 to be useless

I'd imagine "Purple Rain" to be in the top 5 with ease. Three days after the bad news and it has Drake (the #1 non-Prince song) down to .3 in pop bars still. It also has a second version ahead of all competition within the top 10.
Prince's material is not available on Spotify, but I'd imagine a huge week for him on YouTube too.

Prince is still away ahead if you combine the multiple versions and weigh them against Purple Rain's total.
ie When Doves Cry = (0.6588 + 0.2595 + 0.1638) / (1.0000 + 0.3551 + 0.1145) = 0.7363
Combined and weighted pop bars:
1. Prince - Purple Rain 1.0000 2. Prince - When Doves Cry 0.7363 3. Prince - Little Red Corvette 0.6229 4. Prince - Let's Go Crazy 0.5752 5. Prince - 1999 0.5380 6. Prince - Kiss 0.5365 7. Prince - Raspberry Beret 0.4548 8. Prince - I Would Die 4 U 0.3510 9. Prince - I Wanna Be Your Lover 0.3127 10. Desiinger - Panda 0.2287 11. Prince - Darling Nikki 0.2071 12. Drake - One Dance 0.2047 13. Prince - Diamonds And Pearls 0.2044 14. Lukas Graham - 7 Years 0.1872 15. Meghan Trainor - No 0.1716 16. Prince - Erotic City 0.1592 17. Prince - Adore 0.1477 18. Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down 0.1451 19. Fifth Harmony - Work From Home 0.1430 20. Prince - U Got The Look 0.1387 21. Prince - Delirious 0.1319 22. Prince - Baby I'm A Star 0.1290 23. Prince - The Beautiful Ones 0.1236 24. Prince - 7 0.1200 25. Mike Posner - I Took A Pill In Ibiza 0.1194 26. Prince - Cream 0.1189 27. Flo Rida - My House 0.1145 28. Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman 0.1025 29. Prince - Controversy 0.0998 30. Prince - Do Me, Baby 0.0991 31. Prince - Take Me With U 0.0944 32. Prince - Nothing Compares 2 U 0.0919 33. Hopefully his huge lead will translate into "Purple Rain" getting 400k+ sales. If they count the "Purple Rain" youtube videos, then that should be 5 million+ streams and I wouldn't be surprised if his airplay gets to 30-40 million AI+.
Really hoping for Prince to get to #1 next week.

Really hoping for Prince to get to #1 next week. Me too. "Purple Rain" peaked at #2 during its original run. It would amazing if it were to become Prince's sixth Hot 100 #1.

Is this what the thread will be every week now? Is there a possibility of getting a separate thread where the rest of us who are interested in just the stats can avoid... whatever the rest of this is? If you want stats you shouldn't be on a FORUM for PEOPLE who want to have FUN with FRIENDS. If you are interested in just the stats, you should definitely stick to websites like kworb.net.

Question: why are Prince's songs not on Spotify? Same reason as Taylor? They used to be, but last year he pulled them off and gave them exclusively to TIDAL.
