As far as chart date goes: Hello - yes Sorry - yes Pillowtalk - yes Work - yes Panda - yes One Dance - yes Cold Water - no AFAIK, those are also 2016's On-Demand #1s. Cold Water is the only one not to so far, but it could eventually get there even though Closer is closing in (pun not intended). Cold Water has a good chance of hitting #1 eventually. Streaming is really a big factor these days That's true, but Closer is already ahead of it on Spotify and right on the heals of it on YouTube. The music videos of either could be the deciding factor if Closer blocks Cold Water or not.

The VMAs could shake up the chart some, depending on who performs and what they perform.

Everyone has different tastes in music. I like the song. I can't tell you why, I just do. If any other questions like this arise, I would love to discuss them either in PM or my personal chart's own thread. Thanks! :)

What is the most important chart, airplay, streaming or (digital) sales? I'd say streaming since it's the highest weighed component of the Hot 100. I thought sales was the highest.

I'd say streaming since it's the highest weighed component of the Hot 100. I thought sales was the highest. Used to be, but not any more because the overall digital sales market has declined so much, and they aren't giving them as many points.

All three metrics are actually fairly equal, it's just that songs aren't peaking in all three at the same usually. Some songs get more points from sales, some from streaming, some from airplay. Just depends on which one is stronger. Streaming may seem to be the strongest, but that's just because most of the hits are stronger than average in streaming lately, which probably means we're going to be getting a slightly edited formula sooner or later to adjust for that since that probably means streaming is sill gaining in popularity (which is pretty obvious).

8/16 kworb chart observations:
This Is What You Came For must be close to peaking.
#20 = Why?!?!
I also only just noticed that the peaks of both Wildest Dreams and Want To Want Me were higher than Shut Up and Dance's. Not by much at all, but still, Shut Up and Dance was way more dominant.
Good riddance to Me Too. Can't wait for it to fall off.

Britney Spears is performing Make Me at the VMAs, Rihanna is singing something, possibly Love on the Brain, and Nick Jonas is performing Bacon.

Woohoo! Me Too fell off! I say again: good f**king riddance!!!!! It's still gonna make the Year-End Hot 100 but hopefully it'll leave after 20 weeks. But with that blithering abomination out the door, now we have another one that MUST be stopped. *cough* #17. And unrelated, but it's amazing that Shut Up and Dance, Want To Want Me and Uptown Funk are all still here, with SUaD not far from the first half, yet Hello left quite a while ago despite having the second highest peak audience in recent memory that I can recall.

I'm shocked that Me Too even managed to become as big of a hit as it was. It just strikes me as one of those songs that even the general public usually rejects after the first week, in the vein of M.I.L.F.$ and Pretty Girls. The kind of song that usually indicates the death of a career. Even if I didn't like NO, I could see why the general public ate it up. Particularly the early 2000s kids. Then again, this is 2016, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised...

I noticed a bigger piece of sh*t, #13. It may be my hate for that performer but sam hunts amateurish song is still better written then a song about a creapy rebound/gf-stealing.

It looks like "Into you" will peak at #13 (already falling on iTunes and kinda peaking on airplay) and "Treat you better" will reach the top 10 within a month... Goddamn it. At least that's what it looks like now. I can only hope that VMAs will shake up the chart and block Mendes from reaching top 10... Do you think there is any hope left for "Into you"? I guess a VMA performance could help

So many negative new members lol.
Any word on when the Cold Water video will be released? I really think the music video is the only way Cold Water can get to #1 at this point. I love how we have two EDM acts battling it out for the top spot

I love how we have two EDM acts battling it out for the top spot Oh come on. I'm not trying to be negative. Current top 10 is the best we've had in months, and one of my favorite songs from that top 10 is likely to hit #1 next week. That's great. TYB is the only bad song on the horizon that might bring some cheesy acoustic guitar moaning to the top 10. And I'm not really new to the board, I was here everyday, I just made the account. (Yes, that still technically makes me a new member, but screw this)

* Closer will be the new #1 this week. That means Cold Water will be stuck at #2 (or might drop down to #3 temporarily). * Heathens and TIWYCF look pretty close for the #4 spot. * There is a chance that SML could return to Top-10.
