Honestly, this is the best #1 song this year. I understand why some people might hate this (mostly because it's an earworm) but for me it's amazing. I'm very happy for them and I wish them to have a good #1 run to last at least couple weeks.
"Rise" keeps falling. What a relief.
On the negative side though, Treat You Better is coming to the top 10 next week.

Needed Me spent more weeks in the top 10 than some of Rihanna's #1s (S&M, Rude Boy, SOS) and the same as Umbrella and What's My Name.

6-1 is a pretty big jump to #1 for a song that isn't benefiting from any particular special event (new video, first full week of release, live performance, etc.).
I'm just glad the turnover is a bit more exciting now.
I'm also hoping "Too Good" makes it to the top ten before One Dance and TIWYCF fall out so Drake and Rihanna can keep their streaks going.

Needed Me is still gaining on Pop radio. If she actually promoted it to help sales (it's weakest link) it would probably return. I want Justin Timberlake to drop from the top 10 so Adele can get a new peak as well.
I really like Closer and don't get the sudden hate, but OK I guess.
All In My Head is a huge non-event. It's likely not even reaching top 20.

I was rooting for Needed Me to continue its longevity in the top 10. I don't think it's likely but it'd be cool to see it return.

On a positive note is Treat you Better is set to go top 10 next week? I think "Mercy" should be his next single or "Ruin". Miles better than the more generic TYB.

Honestly, this is the best #1 song this year. I understand why some people might hate this (mostly because it's an earworm) but for me it's amazing. I'm very happy for them and I wish them to have a good #1 run to last at least couple weeks. It's funny because I don't think the song is an ear worm at all. I really don't get the appeal, though it's obviously hugely popular so I'm just missing something. I'm glad "All In My Head" is flopping. It feels too much like a retread. They had better songs to pick as the 2nd single. |

That would make me hate the song easily but there's something in the production that actually makes it work for me. It could get annoying, but one word I wouldn't describe this song with is "boring", at least musically (but who cares about lyrics in an EDM song?). |

I'm sad that Needed Me dropped from the top 10, however i'm glad and suprised that Send My Love reentered. Can't wait for Treat You Better to snatch CSTF's spot.
I hope Too Good enters the top ten to keep Drake/Rihanna's streak going strong. If Controlla gets any promotion, it might help. Maybe a VMA performance could help push Needed Me back into the top 10, but I think it's time as run dry. If Rihanna promotes Love on the Brain, it could enter the top 10, but who knows.
Ride needs to leave, and I'm really happy that the Chainsmokers blocked Cold Water! Hahaha.
