I had forgotten this til I looked it up but Sail and Radioactive charted at the same time Yes they had different starting points (Sail's chart run was not consecutive) but the end point was nearly the same This is the 3/8/14 Hot 100 positions for these two 27 26 23 78 Radioactive, Imagine Dragons 3 41 40 41 77 Sail, AWOLNATION 17 If Billboard wanted to implement the 25/52 rule, they should have done so after Radioactive and Sailβs runs. I would have been fine with that. The fact that they waited almost 2 years and implemented it during the middle of Uptown Funkβs run was horrible timing. |

I know. As if artists they stan for are too good.  None of the artists I stan have used a dead man's name for clout. f**k Maroon 5 doing so. First of all they are not the first artists to collab with Juice World after his death, second, if they wanted clout, they would've made the song lead single. Maybe you should F yourself before attacking other artists. |

Okay but how can you collab with a dead person? 2 popular paths: - the collaboration was recorded before said artist's passing - the estate of the dead artist made a lucrative deal to repurpose something recorded independently by the artist prior to their passing. some of Juice WRLD's posthumous releases did fall into the former category, but I have a hunch that the Maroon 5 song is an example of the latter.  @ the Maroon 5 apologists in the thread sdkjfd |

It is actually quite common for the estate of deceased artists to continue to release albums. And many remix in newer artists

Butter is predicted to be a fake #1 for the 3rd week. In 06/05 thread, I remember someone saying (probably meg, I really can't dig into that thread again) something like: Why do you care that much about G4U being #2, it already peaked at #1.
So, my question for BTStans is, when will you stop giving false hope to your band for having the biggest song in America? You got that #1 peak, right?
but tbh, I'd love to see Butter at #1 for 20 weeks, just to see if Billboard would react in that case.
