This would have been great to rank. I said I don’t know what makes me like 90s alt rock or not, but the appeal behind this one is pretty self evident. I’m a little surprised It’s the End of the World didn’t pick up more streams though; especially in 2020

Mr. Brightside could have challenged for my #1. Bad Romance too. Losing My Religion and Umbrella would have likely been in my top 20, possibly top 10.

I thought about the prospect of someone ranking songs solely on how long they've existed. The oldest song gets ranked 1 and the newest gets ranked 100. Of course, I would not do this myself as it wouldn't come close to reflecting my music tastes.

I'd rank either Mr. Brightside or Losing My Religion the highest of the ten extras. And I was wondering why the heck Bad Romance or any hits from Katy Perry or Justin Bieber weren't included in the 100.

I'm not guessing # Doc Indie Party Rock but knowing you, it's only one of 3 - Your hatred of Blinding Lights signifies your love of 80s synth, so you could be representing Take On Me - However, your love for guitar riffs and solos are pointed towards Beat It simply off bad ass MV and Eddie Van Halen alone - HOWEVER your love for attractive women and weird ass fantasy videos indicate Total Eclipse No hate towards "Blinding Lights" as a song. You just mentioned what I do like about it. I just think it is waaaaaaaaaaaay overrated. Billboard keeping it on the HOT 100 for almost 90 weeks and calling it the BIGGEST song of all time on the chart. I don't think any of that is necessary. As for as those extras. I would slot both "Br. Brightside" and "I Want It That Way" (mine would be the highest rank) in my top 30. Probably side by side, and still put "Losing My Religion" even higher. Two of the other extras I'm just scared to click on. (you know which ones) and the rest don't do "diddlysquat" to entice me. Anyway Overbloated Overthetop,Overplayed (i agree on all three charges), Vocally epic song for the win please. |

20. It feels odd being one of the lower ranks for "Another One Bites the Dust." I do really like this song but I just happen to like two thirds of the list more. Good on this making the Top 20. 19. Crazy how the #19 overall song has the most #1 rankings of any song. :o I had no idea which song would have gotten that honor, but oooo Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" and oops, it's my second lowest remaining song of the Top 20. I do like it but it's not one I've grown up on. 18. Interesting how "Paint it, Black" was #1 early on the list but then it dropped down all the way to #18 by the end of it. Again, I'm fine with that since while I do like this song, it's one of my lower ranked songs. 17. Oh I didn't realize I had "Viva La Vida" so low at #69. I do really like this song but wow guess that shows to show you how stacked this list of songs really is. 16. "Dancing Queen" is a classic and I am not surprised to see it ranked so high. I feel bad ranking it as low as #78 but it's another one of those songs I was never super connected to and just loved others more. 15. I love "In the End" so I'm happy to see it making it all the way to the Top 15 and as Linkin Park's highest ranked song! Great song for sure. Not my favorite of the 2000s songs but I can be fine with it getting that honor. 14. Oh wow, I was surprised with some of my rankings of songs, but I'm surprised I ranked "Stayin' Alive" as high as I did and at #47. Thought I had this lower. :haha: Do really like this though it's not a huge favorite of mine so hmmm should have ranked it lower, lol. 13. Okay, so I have finally been waiting for "Africa" to show up and glad it has. Good song and I get the love for it but.... it's never been a big favorite of mine and never really cared for this. Ooh dangg, not only am I the lowest ranker of this song but the only person to put this in their Bottom 30. Wow, I'm surprised by that, haha. Sorry to the fans of this song. And wow 6th lowest standard deviation. Also impressive it got this high with no Top 4 rankings. 12. Yayyy for another perfect ranking here!  Although with that said, I'm sad and disappointed to see "Smells Like Teen Spirit" missing the Top 10. :( One of the best and greatest rock songs imo! Also wow interesting how this has the 5th highest standard deviation. 11. Of the 11 songs remaining, I'm okay with "Stand By Me" missing the Top 10. I had a few songs I ranked lower so would have preferred those missing the Top 10 but oh well. This is a great song and is such a classic but it's not one of my ultimate big favorites of mine. A really strong Top 10. - Glad that all 3 Michael Jackson Thriller songs are in the Top 10, as I love all of those songs. - Shocked but pleasantly surprised that "Blinding Lights" made the Top 10. But super happy it achieved that! - Yessss @ "Gangsta's Paradise" making it to the Top 10. Love this too. - Cool with "Take on Me." - Love "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" so yay for that making the Top 10! - Really enjoy "September" and good with that making the Top 10. - Love "Bohemian Rhapsody" so I'm happy to see that make the Top 10! |

Before the final reveals, I'll say that my favorite out of the remaining 10 songs is Thriller and my least favorite is Bohemian Rhapsody. I'll deal with whatever the outcome is.

After Paint it Black fell out of the top spot, this song was at #1 for the longest time. It looked poised to be the winner, until rankings number 31, 32 and 33 all came in and tanked it all the way down to number four. Which happened on the final day of submissions merely one hour before the deadline. So make no mistake: every single person mattered in this RD. Also, something about Trump tweeting to STOP THE COUNT or something
