Harry vs. Jack Adore You vs. What's Poppin' (First song where everyone starts to took notice of their talents.) Watermelon Sugar vs. Industry Baby (Fan favorite hit that got a "lucky" week at #1.) As It Was vs. First Class (Their first megahit? We'll see.) Painting IB as a lucky #1 is misleading, though. Prior to its week at #1, it had several several weeks at #2 and was a streaming monster that was posting 13M and 14M Spotify streams every week at its peak. IB’s peak was bigger than WDTAB, which spent 5 weeks at #1. Do we call WDTAB a lucky #1? And had IB peaked after Christmas like WDTAB did and spent like 10 weeks at #1, would IB suddenly become a mega hit? It's about context bro. WDTAB spent 5 weeks at #1, so it obviously wasn't lucky. IB's week at #1 was hard fought. Your argument makes is completely irrelevant |

The Big Energy update suggests that the boost last week was not due to the remix, but rather Pop radio boosting it to get its week at #1 on that format. It's probably at (or at least very near) its peak. I think Enemy is now in the best position now to be the next radio #1, as it still has a lot more room to grow in Pop and other formats.

After Minutes and that's amazing for Jack but I had no idea Way 2 Sexy was the only Drake single released in the last 3 years. Also, relax. You're getting ahead of yourself. We aren't even a full week into the song's release and you're already spewing outrageous statements. That's all my reply was about. Surely, the performance of a song isn't determined in it's first day numbers alone. Seeing the AM #'s it became kind of obvious that the Spotify debut would be huge - I didn't expect 6mil, but I would've called something between 3,5-4mil a safe bet. What Jack did with this song is extremely impressive, because the track has all the non-audio elements that make Drake a huge force in music. It's smooth, it's memorable, it's fun, you can vibe to it and it's universal - as in it fits most situations and it is easily accessible to most listeners. This will be a moment, no doubt |

When was the last time we had 2 songs by different artists over 10M streams on Spotify? Outside of Christmas of course. So this is the third time 2 different artists had songs over 10M on Global Spotify. phieagles posted about getting 10M on US Spotify in a week.

Aside from Heat Waves and Stay lasting an eternity in the top 10, it feels like the top 10 has been moving quickly these past few weeks with Enemy, Woman, and Big Energy climbing to the top 10, with songs like As It Was and First Class looking to debut in it.

I mean tht happens all the time, big name releases a hit people go oh yeah I love Jack Harlow I forgot about him and listen to his other stuff I do it, it’s not “fishy” at all Exactly, or some people went to his page on Spotify and played the song and let it run and it continues to play additonal Jack Harlow songs. It's not like Harry Styles previous songs didn't get a boost. |

I don't know. for reference, on the day Certified Lover Boy dropped, "What's Next," "Life Is Good" and "Laugh Now Cry Later" got huge boosts and "One Dance" and "Passionfruit" re-entered the US Spotify Top 200. the boost we see in Jack Harlow's other charting songs is not very fishy at all. similar to what you said, I'd guess a lot of people went to his profile to check out the song and continued to play his music and/or top songs. might be a blessing of Spotify's "song radio" function as well, which I imagine includes a lot of his past singles. |

kimberly but a new album's impact on an artist's discography is different from a new single's impact. Certified Lover Boy was Drake's follow-up to Scorpion. It was highly-anticipated. It's not surprising that his discography got a boost following it's release. That doesn't happen to his discography whenever he drops a new single. I'm not saying there's anything nefarious about Jack's numbers, I'm just saying it's odd that one song gave that much of a boost to several songs in his discography.
