19(+2) Doja Cat - Woman 37.36(+1.75) Da fuq? I think Baby Yoda Hot100Fan forgot to add the fact that it gained a format today.

A bit worrying Spotify update for BeyoncΓ©. It's a dance track so not everyone's cup of tea, but it'd need all the airplay it can get to go top 5 on Hot 100 if the streaming keeps stalling like this.

Itβs performing better than I couldβve hoped for already. Like you said itβs a dance/pop track, so a pretty big departure from her usual work. She still has a music video in the oven for it (hopefully) to strengthen its streaming numbers.

Visuals are a big part of her brand. I think once the video drops, it can reignite interest. And the album drop will probably give it a boost too when radio will likely be at it's peak.

Pretty funny how just two weeks ago we were talking about a house revival/90s revival in the mainstream thanks to Drake and Beyonce and now, the only song from Drake's album with any real longevity is the straight-forward hip-hop track and Beyonce's comeback hasn't had the big streaming numbers we expected. Well that was a diversion for the charts. Time to go back to boring charts where one of the only worthwhile songs is 37 years old

Break My Soul has been bleeding a substantial amount of streams for over a week now. It's down to #20 on US AM and is #15 on US Spotify. Even with the radio gains, I can see it falling back out of the top 10 after its rise this week.

I've been hearing a lot of songs off Drake's album outside for the past week.

Damn, I was looking forward to a real shakeup in trends, but people just had to go and be lukewarm on Drake and Beyonceβs new musicβ¦

What artist that debuted like 25 years ago is streaming well though? I don't see any world where BeyoncΓ©'s streaming numbers are disappointing. She's already exceeded my expectations on that front.

If only she just release the music video which I have no idea when sheβs gonna drop it and more promo, then her streams wouldβve been stable while airplay have been gaining rapidly.

I don't think you can say that. And it's less about their music not resonating (Sticky/Massive/Break My Soul have all been doing really well on radio) and more about the streaming audience simply not wanting to stream that kind of music. It doesn't mean those same people won't party/work out to that music, but they're likely relegating their consumption of that music to community settings/forums they can enjoy the music with friends/loved ones and I can't say that isn't understandable. An example is Controlla from Drake's 2016 album, Views. It did well on radio but it peaked at #16 on the Hot 100. Still Work/One Dance/Controlla were the Holy Trinity of summer bops that year. There's no party or get-together you could have gone to in the summer of 2016 where you wouldn't have heard those 3 songs and yet only 2 of them were legitimate chart smash hits. Perhaps songs that reflect the dance revival of 2022 are in a similar space.

This is a typo right? I was assured it's the biggest hit of 2022. ADT has never really been that strong on Apple Music. However, unlike As It Was and First Class (which have peaked on AM), ADT continues to slowly gain on this platform, and I think this is the highest it has been on here, and it's likely to go even higher when the album is released. If AIW held on to #1 for several weeks after its album release (not to mention that it is well past its peak), I'm confident that ADT will go to #1 on album release and hold it until practically the end of the summer. It's like you like people giving you shit. It's okay to say you were wrong. I'm sure your prediction of it reaching a new peak on album release week is accurate. Why not leave it to sure wins instead of making predictions not supported by the facts and current chart positions?

Can we please remember this man predicted Cold Heart would go #1 in late spring whilst we were in winter, that's how far forward he works.

Speaking of Cold Heart, I had no idea it was still charting, it's close to a full year on the chart but I don't think it'll happen.

EDIT: I see people are upset about this. I'm also 100% here for a return of upbeat party stuff on the charts, but it needs to be something NEW. Like say... hyperpop?

We could still see a revival in house music. Just because the new songs by Drake and Beyonce aren't monster hits (yet?) doesn't mean other artists won't still come out with their own house songs. It's too early to say we won't have a trend.

The U.S. data never really supported "Cold Heart" going to #1 in the U.S. It didn't even make top 5 in the U.S., so clearly a prediction of #1 was a bit much.

Cold Heart was #1 in all the other major charts (Canada, Australia, and UK), spending 8+ weeks on both the Canadian and ARIA charts.
If RUTH doesnβt go to #1 on the Hot 100 during this tracking week, it will pretty much suffer the same fate as Cold Heart.

There are plenty of songs that have been #1 in those countries but not in the U.S. (The Ketchup Song, Hung Up, Dance Monkey, etc).

If RUTH doesn't go #1 this week, it's possible it'll go #1 next week. As it was is dropping fast, while RUTH continues to gain fast in airplay. I'm sure it's streams won't suffer much next week either. Seems like it's gonna be close this week, clearly based off of how much it's gaining on itunes and AM, doesn't seem like quite enough, but it's still early so who knows.
