Based on articles written, "Sober" seems to be the big, moving ballad. "Be Still" is also a ballad. There may be more, but I don't know.

i think the memo is real. it's what's happening right now on the radio, isnt it. plus NA is probably the most commercial song on the album, the most radio friendly, of course RCA marketing radio team would be panicking now ...
i dont even care anymore after all this crazy drama, i just want to have the CD and listen to it on high volume!

NO, this did NOT originate from a Clay board. This originated from The Velvet Rope, an industry board that also leaked the information about Clive dissing Kelly at the Sony/BMG conference. Please stop blaming Clay fans for Kelly's troubles with RCA. It's not our fault that NA sucks. Maybe you could be a little nice and more understanding that people can misunderstand things! Mikey obviously missunderstood, no reason to jump on his s**t for it. And you wonder why people bash Clay fans? Maybe you should be nicer and not give them such a bad name. So you wrongly accuse Clay fans of making up s**t just for the hell of it, when there was absolutely nothing to suggest it came from a Clay board, and then Clay fans are the ones who should be nicer just because we don't like to be falsely accused? Here's a clue. When you falsely accuse people of something and then attack and insult them when they show your accusations were false, then you're the one who needs to learn how to be nice.

I also think that I'll probably find a few of the uptempo tracks more "radio friendly" than "Never Again", even though they chose NA as the first single. At any rate, Kelly is all but guaranteed 1 million in sales. I'm glad she's doing what she wants.... I also think radio will find future singles more favorable.

the situation between Kelly and Clay is completely different so everyone should just get over it. the difference is Kelly is successful, Clay isnt. ^^^ this sort of comment is why it is so hard to muster any sympathy.

I think OM could be very radio friendly depending on how the finalized track sounds. I didn't like the Daytona perf. that much, but I think the song has potential.

For what it's worth, this album is generating more buzz than any other upcoming album. It makes people want this to succeed so RCA can kiss Kelly's ass. That's true...lotta buzz out there....

If posters could just stop with the unnecessary digs at other artists (e.g., Clay, Avril) on Kelly's thread and vice versa, we would see less of these fan wars crap. It's tiring.

That was interesting...I can't believe the label didn't think Miss Independent would be a good single! I mean what...that's crazy...Because Of You I can see since it is a sullen ballad but wow...

The label wanted "Some Kind of Miracle" to be her first single, and Kelly had to really fight to get Miss Independent. And she also wanted BOY on Thankful, but the label completely denied her until Breakaway. And it almost didn't make the Breakaway album too, because Clive did not like the song.

Clive is a moron not to realize that BOY is a hit.
Let's hope his judgement is just as bad this time for the rest of the album.

Sucks this song really isn't getting a chance to shine at all.
I mean there are a few things they could have done to make this a little more friendlier but it's fine the way it is and impressive that Kelly herself wrote this.

I think the shows that Kelly has gone doesnt really have a huge audience. So hopefully AI Finales will show a lot of people how amazing this song is.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I LOVE YOU!!!!

I know it is easy to blame Clay or Avril Fans for anything negative said about Kelly. There is nothing in this memo that should be new to anyone who has followed her career. Kelly has said that the Label didn't like the CD...didn't like the songs. Clive has been pretty dimissive of Kelly's songwriting skills in the past. Given all this, I am shocked that anyone is surprised t what is said in the memo. To me, it is just proves what we have been seeing all along.
This was also posted at The Velvet Rope-
I was reading over at KCE that fans are getting negative feedback from Radio Stations when they call and request Never again. From my experence that is related to a Label not supporting the Single. That never happened during the Breakaway Era.
Something very bad is going on between RCA and Kelly regarding this album....and it has nothing whatsoever to do with any Fan Wars.

^thats because people like you are taking it way too seriously as though it is anything as serious as fan wars. it's just immaturity. there is no hate crim so dont put it on the level of something that is more important. You act as though people are dying in this conflict. Its called overdramatizing a situation.
Nobody is shocked because it has not source. its just an e-mail that I could have written. I can write an email like this and post this on Velvet Rope and does that make it correct? no. it could be or it may not be. The question and so called war starts when some people come in here and post it and try to defend it and then play the "fan war" card. You act as though these are gangs or something.
people this is a discussion board and thats fine but let's not blow this out of proportion.

the situation between Kelly and Clay is completely different so everyone should just get over it. the difference is Kelly is successful, Clay isnt. ^^^ this sort of comment is why it is so hard to muster any sympathy. The first quote here is kind of crazy and has been some of the problems in the past. How can you say an artist who set records with their debut CD isn't successful. Someone who immediately tours as a headliner and makes over $20 million in the first 2 years off one CD and a Christmas CD, and you claim that is not success? Just what the heck would success look like? Clay's first CD did better than Kelly's first CD -- not trying to start anything, just a fact. The big difference is what happened later. Kelly got to do a good second CD that went on to great success. Clay got a Christmas CD if you want to count it second, if not, he got a covers CD with no promos, singles, videos, etc. That is when you could start trying to claim one is successful and one isn't. Tell me, if it had been reversed do you really think the outcome would be the same? I highly doubt it. Yes some Clay fans are interested in watching what is happening with this CD. But then some also watched Ruben's, Fantasia's, Taylor's, Chris, Kat -- it's an AI thing. You get hooked on the people and you follow them, regardless which one is your favorite or not. Enough about Clay. Regarding the memo, I do believe it. For those who don't, while I don't know or can prove it is true, I would just remind you of two words from the last decade that made a movie "THE INSIDER." Believe me there were tons of people who didn't believe those memos either. But they were true and they were leaked and out there. I would venture to say that company, let alone that industry, was just as big if not bigger, and a heck of a lot richer than the music industry. But the whole thing was true and exploded like crazy. There was massive cover ups, massive scrambles to try to cover, heads fell like crazy, and I watched it all first hand. Don't think any industry is big enough or rich enough to keep stuff quiet if someone decides to leak it. And don't think there are not bigwigs who do the leaking. Again, check out the cigarette industry starting back in the 90s.

This isn't a Clay thread. Please refrain from discussing Clay any further in here and DOUBLE please refrain from making any comparisons between the two. Obviously, fans from both sides can't handle it.

eww claymates are so annoying... get out already. his peak is like 3 years ago already .. so long That's mature. This is not a fan board whether you like it or not. People who like Clay can post, people who like Taylor, Avril, Christina, Pink, Fantasia, Kellie, Carrie, Gwen, Beyonce, whoever get to post. If you don't want to read their post, you probably have a scroll button. But fans of others know just as much (or little) as you do. So please, do not try to dictate who gets to post where or say what. I for one am not doing any bashing here, but you are. Talking about a CD, the label, what is happening with a CD and why, is of interest to lots of people regardless who the artist is. What happens to one could happen to any other. The thing to do is watch them all and learn from them if you are really a music fan here instead of just one artist's fan.

so....
i hope this song bounces back, which i think it will as the album release date approaches because stations will probably play it because more and more people will want to hear it.
