The remix serves its purpose in my opinion. I just miss the bridge, that was one of my favorite parts.
Adding a rapper will only help its appeal for US radio. Not saying that's how it should be though, the song is great on its own.

Wow this song's run has been very impressive. I don't think anyone expected it would perform as well as it did, congrats Alessia!

It's at #220. For some reason, kworb isn't picking it up properly. Kworb Despite his recent inactivity, as far as I know the Top 50 charts/updates still come from Kworb, someone else just posts them.

I was definitely expecting more in terms of a first single, this song is just okay. Imo, "Hair" is the better break up anthem and it's kind of disappointing that both songs are almost identical content wise and were released back to back.
Still rooting for them to break through in the US but I don't think this song will do the trick.

So excited for new music from Little Mix! Didn't think they would start a new era so soon after finishing up their tour.

#1 on Urban: 2 1 USHER No Limit f/Young Thug 4171 3914 257 28.205 Nice! I thought this was really bland the first time I heard it but it really grew on me over a couple of listens. Glad to see it did well on the charts.

Wow I love the video! It definitely brings the song to a new level. I disliked the song at first but now I find myself wanting to listen to randomly.

I like this! I wish the chorus were more anthemic but it still works. Will be interesting to see how it performs at radio.

Wow, I love it! Such a mellow, sultry vibe to it. Favorite single of hers since "Hold it Against Me".
Are people really that upset over Katy releasing on the same day? There is more than enough room on the charts for both of them, plus competition will only help both parties. Reminds me of 2007's 50 Cent vs. Kanye West showdown when they released their albums on the same day and the massive hype it created for both.

The random second breath of life this song got is nuts. Poor Into You. I know right. It'd be very unfortunate if "DW" hinders "Into You" in any way.

This song is my current obsession, love everything about it! Would love for it to smash here in the West, they're definitely overdue for a US hit.

Yeah it most likely won't be an official #1. Song is still huge though, and I didn't expect it to get this far when it looked like it was peaking weeks ago.

I actually really enjoyed the performance! The beginning part on the bulldozer was the best part for me and the crowd obviously liked it too. The last chorus was really awkward with Camilla's runs, which grew on me in the studio version, but she just can't pull them off live. All in all, I found it very entertaining.

The video is mesmerizing! I keep going back to watch it over and over again. Part of it is definitely all of the eye candy but overall it's very entertaining.

Ugh the page ended up jerking up at the last second so I accidentally clicked "Work". I prefer "Work from Home" by far! Song and video.

I love it! "Worth it" was my song of the summer last year and I definitely like this one just as much. I'm hoping the similarities with Rihanna's Work don't hinder this at all. Should be an easy top 10.

I quite like it when song titles don't appear in the actual song. It's something different.

Love this song but it should not be a single. Once again they are setting themselves up for failure at pop radio, what is wrong with them?! If IIWAB, BTINH and XO struggled on pop radio (shoot pop was even hesitant to send Halo to #2 with it's excruciatingly slow climb), I don't see how they think "Pretty Hurts" will fare any better. This song is simply not catchy enough and I think pop will have no problem giving it the cold shoulder.
And I'm still pissed that they didn't go with "Partition"!

Excellent update! I'm really interested as to where this will peak on pop. I'm hoping for top 5 but I don't want to get too ahead of myself.

Glad this has really picked up and was able to peak at #2 on the Hot 100!
I really, really hope they do not send "Pretty Hurts" to pop next. It's a great song and all but I just don't see radio embracing it especially after XO bombed. I would wait until "Partition" blows up at urban and rhythmic and then send that to pop (and hopefully "Drunk in Love" can stay afloat on pop until then!).

Wow! I am absolutely shocked that this is doing so well on iTunes. Probably her best performing single on that front since Halo or even Single Ladies. Pretty sure none of the "4" singles went top 10 (maybe RTW for a short while?) and not sure if Halo and Sweet Dreams went top 5 or not. Go DIL!

Sweet Dreams" (#5) is the only "pop only" single from her that's done really well and even that had strong rhythmic support since it reached #1 there. Clearly the strategy is not working as well as they want it to so they need to try something different and just stick to their guns for once. 'Halo' peaked at #2. And it happened in 2009. Do you think 'Countdown' would have been a Pop hit in 2011 following a flop lead single and a moderate hit? I don't think so tbh. You're going to tell me that "Run The World" isn't "vanilla"? Is it? Not to me.. Halo also did well on urban (#10) and rhythmic though, adding to the point that her music should not be confined to strict boundaries and that she is able to crossover to multiple formats with the right songs (w/ crossover appeal of course).

Pop radio would play her urban singles if (a)it were the only single and (b) the song is received well by listeners. What good is it to have her "pop only" singles barely make top 10/20 only to be overshadowed by the other single later down the road (Re: Single Ladies & If I Were a Boy)? Right now "Drunk in Love" is outperforming this on iTunes and streaming considerably, so to me that says they should not be going the safe/predictable route in the future just because they think pop won't touch an urban song. I guess all this talk is premature anyways since it's yet to be known how well "XO" will perform. Hmm did you forget 'Deja Vu', 'Run The World' and 'Ring The Alarm'? Deja Vu(#13) and RTA (#18?) didn't do all that worse than a pop only song like IIWB (#8). "Run the World" flopped on all formats so that doesn't apply. "Sweet Dreams" (#5) is the only "pop only" single from her that's done really well and even that had strong rhythmic support since it reached #1 there. Clearly the strategy is not working as well as they want it to so they need to try something different and just stick to their guns for once.

I think part of the problem is that pop is tired of "vanilla" Beyonce. I mean I like "XO" and all but it is a very safe song with no real punch to it. Why does pop get the "Best Thing I Never Had"'s and the "XO"'s while her other core formats get the more exciting/riskier singles like "Countdown" and "Drunk in Love" (obviously only referencing recent times). I wish she would do away with this dual single strategy that she/her label seem dead-set on and just serve up one single at a time. It seems as if pop always gets the short end of the stick when they release 2 singles at a time because they think pop audiences can't handle the "edgier" Beyonce. What good would it make to add a bunch of flops to her resume? Pop radio wouldn't have played any of her Urban singles. So, yes, they get vanilla from her because that's what they want to play all the damn time. Pop radio would play her urban singles if (a)it were the only single and (b) the song is received well by listeners. What good is it to have her "pop only" singles barely make top 10/20 only to be overshadowed by the other single later down the road (Re: Single Ladies & If I Were a Boy)?
