The Dave Aude mixes are superb, I also love the Offer mix as well, the second half goes to some really nice places. Cognito mixes are also fun.
And on the bootleg tip, the Tannuri & DJ Aron mix is like a long lost Calderone mix. A lot of fun.

Major Major props for some Amanda Marshall love!
She gets my most enthusiastic vote.
Then, Sheriff, Alias, Celine, Alanis, Avril, Deborah Cox, Alannah. Great stuff here!

Free Your Mind is a helluva song, but Black Cat made me see Janet in a whole different way. I'm going with BC.

I have never understood the love for Again. The music is pretty, but the ending chords was totally stolen from Phantom of the Opera's "Music of the Night." (pretty, but whatever)
I love Come Back To Me, those chords are classic Janet. Also would love to throw a vote in for Someday Is Tonight (epic!)

Demi absolutely tore through "Give Your Heart a Break" last night on Idol. She hit the money notes, had great support from her band and fierce backup singers, and worked that stage with sheer force. This is a really good single choice for her. A lot of singers could make this one work, but Demi knows how to really sell it. I hope this one gets some airplay. Who else saw this?

I think she's just trying to breakthrough with a new look. Eh. She's trying everything. The one thing they haven't seemed to try is finding songs to match this girl's talent. Have you listened to the Japan-only album Infinity? It's unbelievable that this was released.

Double ouch, Simon Cowell is associated with both. His head is not big enough already. LOL

I actually listened to One Heart recently, I liked it. It contained "Faith" one of Max Martin's best compositions, and a very catchy midtempo that could have kept Celine on the radio in a substantial way. I believe it was a single in Canada. Great song.

There is nothing on that One Direction album that is even remotely good. It doesn't touch anything that Max Martin did with BSB. Columbia is "Rolling In The Dough" though.

Congrats to Colbie. Fantastic AC song, but the rest of the album is a tragic bore. She needed this #1. OneRepublic really deserved a #1 with this song, but I have no doubt that Good Life will be up there at the end of the year as one of the top AC songs.

With Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Benny Benassi etc.. finally getting some solid USA radio hits, this Cascada stuff sounds terribly dated. Sorry, this is not for me.

What's the next single?? Which chart will she ravage next?? Right Away is still being worked at AC. Nothing announced for the dance chart yet.

Did they forget about MJ? The Immortal Tour alone is bringing in $2 million a show. I doubt that deceased artists (The Beatles, of course, have two living members) count for this list, as the artist zhimself is not earning the money. Also, the majority of the tour is performing in 2012, so let's see how it wraps up at the end of the year. I'm sure it will place him high on the dead-celebs list.

Note the back-to-back "Respect" titles on there- is the "R.E.S.P.E.C.T" title also a cover of the Otis Redding/Aretha Franklin track? Yes. Pretty crazy. Love both versions!

Do you hear other Madonna songs when out? If they charted better, maybe that's why. ;) I do actually, and not because they necessarily charted better. I hear the Rauhofer mix of Mother & Father on occasion, and that was one of her worst charting dance hits. But elements of that song are more memorable (to me) than Get Together.

Since UK boybands are being tossed around, what ever happened to JLS? Weren't they being pushed as the next big thing (and they've certainly done quite well). I still like The Wanted the best of the dozen or so... They basically gave up and fled back to the UK That is sad. Thanks for the update!

I must admit I'm still not crazy about the idea. Still can't picture her as a judge critiquing and really giving an extensive opinion. And therein lies the beauty. There is no critiquing needed on X-Factor. They gave everyone Gold Stars each and every week last season. Britney, can smile and say goofy things and offer some insight and she can laugh all the way to the bank. It's a win-win for everyone.

I loved Human and Afrodisiac equally, even though they are so different. I have to say though, Human touched me because you can hear the pain she went through on each track. That album was some serious therapy for her, and I'm guessing it's hard for her to revisit it. At least the two singles went to #1 on the Club Play chart, that was a nice surprise.
Human got me to go back to Brandy's past albums and really see the growth she made. I hope she takes all of her styles and gives us one epic album.

Why am I not surprised that the one song I don't like by her (Elephant) is the one getting the US release? Ugh.

Her boobs are amazing in the video. (one or two notches below the bra/sling she sported in the All For You video). The song is secondary to the boobs.

Really well-crafted pop song. I can see why it did as great as it did, but it hasn't aged well for me. It also derailed Baylie Brown in Season 11 of American Idol. bummer!

Very catchy song. I found it extremely odd that the label pushed this towards AC. At least it did something in the clubs, but none of the remixes were all that stellar. Should have been much bigger.

Pretty generic song, not particularly memorable, could have been a good hit for Kylie. Remixes saved it somewhat, but still don't hear this one out anymore.

I find it kind of irritating that Blake is charting on AC with a song that already charted less than a year ago. Seems like overkill. AC should be better than this.
Really hope that Good Life can knock Lady A out next week, followed by Colbie (she'll need this #1 because the rest of her album is horrid).

There was an article in the Whitney Tribute issue of Billboard, a few weeks back.
It discussed the uphill battle that Sony is facing with releasing a new GH album for Whitney.
It all depends on how the album is to be treated per her contract. Depending on the type of advance involved, and how much input the family/Estate is allowed to have with the packaging and artwork details, this hits compilation could be quite delayed. It WILL happen, but there are a lot of issues from a contractual standpoint.
Still, the suggestions above are great, and the label hopefully is reading these posts. Keep it up guys, just be really patient.

There is no way Beyonce will do this. In 10 years, I could see it, but right now, I just don't see it.
They need a fading star, someone who's done it all, and could use the money, but isn't out of the game totally. Janet would have been perfect.

CHAINS!! Especially the dance mix. The album version gets my vote. (the dance mix is severly dated, plus her voice has the sped-up billygoat effect). This song so far and away. (Honorable mention goes to the dance cover of Mouth by Rochelle)

It was a solid album that couldn't find an audience. I'm sure it was a huge bummer for Toni. Even "Heart Never Had a Hero" was a throwback to her big ballad days...
