Well, you guys asked for it, so we're marching on into the 2000s. Turnover was fairly high in 2000, as nineteen singles reached the top, the most at this point since the switch to Soundscan. Here they are: Hot Boyz - Missy Elliott Get It On Tonite - Montell Jordan Thank God I Found You - Mariah Carey Say My Name - Destiny's Child Maria Maria - Santana feat. The Product G&B He Wasn't Man Enough - Toni Braxton I Wish - Carl Thomas Separated - Avant Let's Get Married - Jagged Edge Incomplete - SisQó No More - Ruff Endz Wifey - Next Bounce With Me - Lil Bow Wow feat. Xscape Liar - Profyle Bag Lady - Erykah Badu I Wish - R. Kelly I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me) - Jay-Z Ms. Jackson - Outkast Independent Women Part 1 - Destiny's Child YouTube PlaylistSpotify Playlist:Final rankings will use an inverse point system. You may rank whichever version (single edit, remix, etc.) you prefer. NOTE: I've included two versions each of "Thank God I Found You" and "Let's Get Married" in the Spotify playlist, and two versions of "Hot Boyz" in the YouTube playlist. Please rank only ONE version of each song, you don't have to specify which. Submissions are tentatively due June 7. Thank God I Found You being in a rankdown after a big discussion in the Hot 100 thread about it is perfect timing.

I will be ranking the fantastic remix of "Let's Get Married." So will I. It makes the song great. That’s what it always plays on the radio as well. I always thought that was the original too when I was younger.

I remember this year all too well.
A majority of the songs on the list felt big, especially “Let’s Get Married”. Both versions of that song stayed in heavy rotation. All of them hold up today.

Ah I really like or love a good majority of these songs! I remembered them all well (except for one song). It was fun re-living through all of these songs and ranking them. I look forward to seeing how they all rank here.

"Shake Ya Ass" and "What's Your Fantasy" received soooo much airplay, or at least it felt like they did, I would've thought they went #1 on the chart.

The court eventually ruled in Jay's favor.
