Well, we usually do these every year and I don't see one yet, so have at it!
I kept diligent track of mine and would've posted it immediately if there had been a topic ready. So thanks for starting this.
I would've loved to have heard these on the radio, even if if I'm not necessarily huge on all these bands:
89. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Jr. - "Almost Lost Detroit"
87. D.R.U.G.S. - "The Only Thing You Talk About"
85. We Came As Romans - "What I Wished I Never Had"
83. Black Veil Brides - "Fallen Angels"
79. Jasta (featuring Zakk Wylde) - "The Fearless Must Endure"
73. Escape the Fate - "Gorgeous Nightmare"
70. Every Avenue - "No One But You"
69. Nickelback - "Bottoms Up"
67. Skrillex - "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites"
(When this and the Korn songs are the only songs of its type on this station, it sounds odd, and gotta be impossible to make those transitions. And then they gotta go into somebody dying...) 63. Sum 41 - "Blood In My Eyes"
56. Asking Alexandria - "Someone, Somewhere"
55. The Naked and Famous - "Punching in a Dream"
("Young Blood" is completely absent and never played. I was shocked when this came on. Right after Asking Alexandria, too.) (And then right back into a Seether song surely made it seem even more out of place.)53. The Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Look Around"
52. Disturbed - "Hell"
(Did they really need a new Disturbed hit so badly that they'd play pick-a-single off their B-sides cash-in?) (This was actually the promoted single.)50. Taking Back Sunday - "You Got Me"
48. A Day To Remember - "It's Complicated"
45. Foster the People - "Helena Beat"
44. blink-182 - "Heart's All Gone"
(This sounded great on the radio.) (I bet!)41. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - "If I Had A Gun"
29. Sixx: AM - "Lies of the Beautiful People"
21. Silverstein - "Burning Hearts"
18. Thirty Seconds to Mars - "Night of the Hunter"
13. D.R.U.G.S. - "Sex Life"
10. Taking Back Sunday - "Faith (When I Let You Down)"
Florence + The Machine - "Dog Days are Over"
(They'll probably never play any Floxie track under any circumstance.) (Floxie? Never heard that before.)I can't tolerate my Alternative station to listen much beyond a few minutes at a time anymore without getting fed up with all the dinosaur songs I never need to hear again and the mediocre Active Rock songs in place of the actual Alternative songs they don't play that I'd rather hear, not to mention the long ad breaks. But they're still far and away my favorite local FM station and it's been my tradition for the past 5 years on New Year's Day to enjoy myself at home after working all night New Year's Eve, spending all day listening to their year-end countdown in its entirety, whipping up a list in advance of everything I'm expecting to hear and following along. There's nothing in the world I'd rather do on New Year's Day. I even leave the volume up during the songs I don't care for and would otherwise change the station on in any other circumstance. I don't mind a bit, listening to them one last time. I don't know if it's the serious health issues I'm going through right now (hence why I'm able to post so much more frequently this past week or two), but listening to the countdown this year was just as enjoyable as ever, if not more so. I loved every minute of it.

I love that all four of Avenged Sevenfold's
Nightmare singles (rightfully) made the chart. KPNT is very good to them, which helps me offset the more lunkheaded Active Rock songs they play.
As always, they frustratingly never get the list 100% right, though it's pretty much based on their YTD airplay. But guys like us care way more about the accuracy of these lists than the people who actually work at the radio stations. Each year there are always about 4 songs that I'm still expecting by the Top 10 or 20 that never turn up. This year, those four were, in order of my perception of how often they were played, Three Days Grace "Lost in You," Sick Puppies "Riptide," Papa Roach "Kick in the Teeth" and 30 Seconds to Mars "Closer to the Edge." I wouldn't have batted an eye if "Lost in You" had come in at #2. For all 4 of those songs to be missing from the list, especially when they still bothered leaving in "Diamond Eyes" and "Say You'll Haunt Me" for 2011 down at #102 & 103 is pretty poor. But you just gotta let that kinda stuff go and appreciate that they even make a countdown for the avid listeners at the end of each year. :)
