This song so does not deserve to be a #1 hit. It doesn't suck, but it's not a remarkable song.

Heard it today on the radio. While this is miles better than "Get Up," I can't help but feel that, while no major rock band has experimented with dubstep, this is, nevertheless, Korn chasing trends in an attempt to be relevant again. It felt like a dubstep remix of a Korn song rather than an original Korn song. It was too hard to pick out Munky, Fieldy, and Ray's contributions. While I was listening, I liked it enough that I found myself thinking how much more I'd enjoy it had it been performed as a straight rock band. Melodically, this was probably better than anything off their last album.

Top 50 on Alternative: 62 49 CULTS Go Outside 85 68 17 0.105 Seems like this should have happened awhile ago. Anyhow, fantastic. :) The video they made for this infusing themselves into the Jonestown cult from the 70s might be one of the creepiest things I have ever seen in my life. I'm afraid I don't know the backstory. So while I obviously knew the footage wasn't from modern day, I have no frame of reference.

It's like they're channeling their inner Black Crowes with this. I dig it. Rolling Stones is probably more like it.

Jesus Christ! While I remembered "Aaron Bruno" sang for Under the Influence of Giants five years ago, I'd completely forgotten/never knew that dude was the lead singer for Home Town Hero four years before that.

Yeah, it's easily the best album cover they've ever had.

This is like the musical version of sympathy sex. It's that bad Dude, sympathy sex is awesome! Otherwise I'd still be a virgin. HEYOOO! I'm either really insecure or really confident in myself to make that joke. I'll go with the latter. Well done. While I don't find Lou Reed to be the immense talent that he's made out to be in the indie community, I think he's better than these results would indicate, and you will (rightfully) incur the wrath of indie music fans and hipsters everywhere for comparing him to Rebecca Black. I'm by no means a Lou Reed buff, but David's blissfully ignorant disrespect of a legendary career that's had an immeasurable impact on the Alternative format is inexcusable.

I'm a little embarrassed to say I kind of like this song. If I had no idea what they looked like and had no idea the ex-singer for Escape the Fate was involved, I wouldn't feel guilty about it.

Not really sure why there's so much hype for this. Nevertheless, it was offered as a free download from iTunes, so I took it.

...Uh...Hmm...Not really sure what they're going for with this album cover, though it does remind me of the Ritual de lo Habitual cover. (Yes, I'm talking about the First Amendment version.) Why couldn't this album cover have just been the poster on the back wall of the room?

I can't believe this, of all their singles, has enough spins, few though they may be, to give them their first Alternative chart hit. I mean, this is OneRepublic. In 2011. At least in 2008 when "Stop and Stare" came close to charting, they were still a new enough band that their identity hadn't been firmly established for them yet. But at this point, everybody knows this is a fairly vanilla pop band.

Caught most of it on the radio just now and though I realized it was Cavo before the end because of hearing the title in the lyrics, I nevertheless felt it was a very average, uninspiring, faceless, mainstream hard rock song.

My friend said that last week that Tom lost his voice from being sick and if he was unable to perform, the guys from the other bands would fill in for him. I wonder how that would work with the songs he sings. Hopefully he's all better now. Pff! He sabotages so many of their songs live, himself, what's the difference if he's sick?

First listen didn't do anything for me. Just feels like they're gonna forever be "scene" stars and never break through into the mainstream, like A Day to Remember kind of did.

If he never sent "Calgary" to Alternative radio, only to AAA, why in the world would the label have faith that this uninteresting song would do anything? Seriously, I've played this song anywhere from a dozen to 20 times already and I still can't remember how it goes. I'm with Ron. "Perth" would've made so much more sense, seeing as how it's easily the best song on the album. I don't find the record as memorable as For Emma....

I wonder if a radio edit will be released on September 20... Pretty sure the 5:52 version streaming on All Access is the only edit radio's gonna get.

It closes with over four minutes without lyrics and I could loop that all day and never get tired of it. Know any place I can hear the full 6:47 studio version for myself? You'd think somebody would've uploaded it to YouTube long ago, but frustratingly, that's not the case.

Alexisonfire never really grabbed my attention (though I don't know that I gave them a fair shot) and I've barely acknowledged anything else Dallas Green has been involved in to date, but this is a good-ass song.

I don't like purging either since, from what I know and I could be wrong, they aren't really based on anything as far as hard numbers are concerned. At least when songs go recurrent, it's because something specific has happened with the positioning of said song such as being below #15 after x amount of weeks or whatever the rule happens to be. I've yet to read anything solid about how songs are chosen to be purged. Exactly!

Well, then her label stood up for her and had it brought back, because it was recurrent on Sunday night.
Purging songs is so f**king stupid anyway. I mean, the week Korn's "Get Up" was purged, the Naked and Famous' "Young Blood" went recurrent. But since the moves didn't get applied simultaneously, "Get Up" got purged before the removal of "Young Blood" would've kept it on board at #40. It cut its spin loss in half the following week, at a would-be #43. Then it added 13 spins to hypothetically re-enter the Top 40. And despite losing 11, 12, and 7 spins in the these last three weeks, the song would've gone 39-40-39 and be enjoying an 18th week on the chart. I can't believe Mediabase has been arbitrarily purging songs below the Top 40 for 5 years now.

This song is embarrassingly cheesy. Surely he's got better songs than this on his record.

Based on the 3 songs I've heard, this just might be the first Staind album I buy since the underwhelming 14 Shades of Grey. On second thought, why don't I just take the "wait-and-see" approach? I've since read Aaron saying the sessions for this album were fairly fractious, but also, in addition to those promising songs, I've since heard the embarrassing "Wannabe," which just about undoes all the promise this album had going for it.
