The Dezrok mixes for this song were gorgeous.

^ I'll agree with your above pics, I would probably only really play the Dub in my set though.
I'm not a fan of this track (or really anything from "4" to be honest), but with all of the key changes in the original album version of "Love On Top," I was scared that any and all remixes of this track would be a hot mess.
The remixers seemed to be split on choosing to keep the key changes in, or leave them out altogether. Obviously, the key changes provide the album version with much of the song's flair, and removing them, while easier to digest in a dance version, kind of strips the song's essence away.
The Escape/Coluccio mixes wisely remove the key changes, and the mix is definitely playable, but it's instantly forgettable. It's not anone's fault though, it's just the song I think.

I need to check out The Civil Wars album. And pick up Joy Williams greatest hits CD as well (which sums up the singles from her 3 album nicely.) This girl has a fantastic voice and did quite the damage on the Christian charts before becoming part of The Civil Wars.

^ You might be right!
Great seeing Britt Nicole on the chart.
And to those of you that watched The Grammys, how great was it seeing Joy Williams (of the Civil Wars) singing on the show??

So great to see The Civil Wars make the most out of their brief time on stage.
I've been following Joy Williams (the female in the Civil Wars) throughout her 3 albums on the Christian charts and she is pure fabulousness. Great seeing her get to sing in front of such a big audience.
Jennifer Hudson is sublime.

I loved Just Missed The Train, so f**king much. It was probably my favorite from Thankful. Same with me, and I really enjoy Carly Smithson's (aka Hennessy's) version as well. Kelly's is much more compact and polished though, and that voice. Sigh.

Jordin Sparks' "Battlefield" cover really says it all. I honestly believe, even with all the singles screw-ups, that the album would have sold DOUBLE with a more flattering picture.

I wish he would do an entire pop album full of dance hits like "Forever" and "Yeah 3X". I really hope this doesn't happen. It kills me how much play he gets when I go out to the clubs. There's so little variety. I could hear 4 Chris Brown songs in one night. It's true, maybe I wouldn't mind it so much if it were someone else singing it. His people do not want the party to end, so they get him the best songs.

A lot of the major country artists sell out 10-15k+ seat tour dates in the the northeast. True. I live in Manhattan and we never get country artists here, but I see all the time that country artists are always performing in Rochester. I've almost gone up there to see Martina McBride on tour, but never managed. Although, she did perform at The Theater @ Madison Square Garden when 106.7 Lite FM had a big concert, and when she came out the crowd went batsh*t crazy for her. She made a big deal about how it was her first time performing there, and I think more country acts could do it, but they don't.

Nicole Kidman. She collobarated with Robbie Williams on a cover of "Somethin Stupid" and it actually went to #1 in the UK for 3 weeks. Great video too!

No shade but a re-release should not count as the same album. Agreed. If Katy were to break MJ's record with a re-release, she'd always have an asterisk next to her name with this. TOTGA came awfully close to breaking the record in an honest way, but sometimes you gotta let the cards fall where they may. At this point, Capitol is trying to keep the cash cow going while Katy takes some time to herself. They've earned this right, but in terms of charting and breaking records are concerned, no.

So apparently this single won't count as part of Teenage Dream? Billboard has reported that this will not count towards Teenage Dream, but towards The Confection (the re-release). So her record with MJ stays tied.

This should do better than "Hey Mama." It's a really consistent album with lots of good grooves. It's definitely more pop-friendly than his last one. Yes, i think the label was brilliant in sending a catchy up-tempo out first, while saving even better singles to build off of that momentum. And genius with recognizing the potential with "Down" and promoting it at a completely different format.

This song will be the biggest club anthem from a AI alum. I never expected this, but I expect this to be inescapable along the lines of Pressure from Nadia Ali and Allesso. Kelly Clarkson is the only other AI alum that i can think of that has some clubland hits. Maybe Fantasia and her "It's All Good" Scumfrog remix too actually. Jennifer Hudson has quite a few as well. Blake Lewis has 3-4 charted (with a #1). Kimberley Locke as a few #1's. Frenchie Davis has charted several times. The list goes on. It's definitely not just Kelly.

I got sick of "Give It 2 Me" FAST. Never saw the "American Life" hate to be honest. you apparantly didn't see GI2M on stage LIVE. You wouldn't be saying that if that were the case. GI2M was an outstanding tour closer. You'd have to be there firsthand to take it all in. It was everything a Madonna tour-closer should've been...and then some. Had the entire room...of 50,000 people up on their feets. I know from experience. Maybe so, but then again, wouldn't they be standing for pretty much any song that was closing the show?

Paris has "Nothing In This World". Lindsay does not...she loses. Lindsay has Bossy, which is a friggen hot-as-all-get-out track. Love the Paris album, fun tracks, but Lindsay has a stronger voice and, like I said, Bossy. I was hoping for an album like that.

I'm still waiting for that "it" thing to push Adam over the top. I just don't think this video or song is it. He needs a Rock DJ moment, and I have a feeling it's coming. Something so fantastic that will propel him to Robbie's previous level of stratospheric success (but also in the USA of course)

American Life got so much negative feedback at the time, and being the lead single and title track of her album, it's easy to understand why it would be leading this poll. I would think that many people are probably less familiar with some of the other sucky tracks.
Give It 2 Me is pretty terrible. Even the remixes couldn't really save it.
Get Together is what I think of as a Kylie reject. She'd probably sound better singing it, but even she'd stay away.
I hated 4 Minutes because it smacked of effort. But, I voted for Give It 2 Me because I can't find any redeeming value in it.

Mariah yes.
Beyonce a close second.
Nicole (who shows off a whole different range in her Phantom of the Opera performance) and Fergie are pretty solid singers. Both show pretty strong range between their Pussycat/Wild Orchid records, but it's funny how Fergie only gets to show off her voice now when she's duetting with Heart or Slash or some rock performance. (where she slays).
Christina hasn't sounded good live in years. She's solid on the studio recordings though.

His album has 4-5 solid singles on it. "Down" already spent nearly 2 months at #1 on the Christian charts and it's pretty secular, could definitely be a Hot AC single at some point if the album goes that deep.
I love Ships In the Night and want great things for it! It needs to be heard.

Adele meanwhile has scored a massive accomplishment this week. She has 3 songs in the AC top 10 simultaneously! I have not found another time in ACville where this has happened, if you know of another time, please share with us! I'm not sure if you're excluding Christmas titles, but Michael Buble had 4 titles in the AC Top 10 in December.

Any particular reason why 95% of the posts are only focusing on songs from the past 3 years?
My pick: Bryan Adams - Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman

Gone first! (which Z100 jumped on, but then was forced to switch over to Walk Away). Then Walk Away.
...and then, Where Is Your Heart (which several AC stations had already been playing).
No Addicted, and no Hear Me.

I loved when Nikko Smith slayed this on Idol, but not when that Chicken Little kid ruined it.
